Yeah sorry, just kidding. I assume you're in UK where torch is used for our flashlight.I chose LED over fire.

Lol. I finished work today and had to go collect the car from the village at 6. It was so dark I needed a torch.

Looking forward to being able to go for a walk in the evenings again. Maybe late Feb or March.Yes, agreed, still pitch black at six, but it is no longer quite so grimly dark at four, or what feels like that eternity between four and five.......
Mind you, Mother only ever remarked on lengthening evenings at the very end of January, and then, only on a half decent day, when you could first notice a difference (between that day and when darkness fell in mid or late December).

As I didn’t get a lunchtime walk today I still had 4000 steps left to do to hit my target this evening.Amen to that.

It was really a nice day here, especially for mid-January! I am hoping that this will continue on and that we'll have a mild January and a mild February, too....
Yes, I notice that it is not quite full dark yet at a little past 5:30 PM (EST) so definitely the days are getting longer. Presumably they are at the other end, too, becoming lighter earlier in the morning as well, but I'm never awake to notice that!
Still dark when I get up at 6.
It was actually 5 this morning. At six?
Shudder.
Of course it is still dark at six.
However, it is less dark at eight.......
I’ve managed every day since October. I’m really finding my first AW a good motivation tool.Successful week, I was up before 4:30am every day, and I worked out at least once every day. Not feeling tired at all today.
Enjoy your bread and beer.Out for a brief walk, paid some bills, ordered (and paid for) some beer, which should be delivered presently, and paid for bread which will be held for me in a local bakery tomorrow.
Enjoy your books. This afternoon I need to go over to the library to pick up a book which is being held for me. It's one in high demand so I'll read it promptly and get it back to the library for the next eager reader. Now that we're back to the curbside service routine I'll have to phone the branch once I'm in the parking lot, give them my library card number and my name, and then wait for someone to process the book and bring it out to the table that they have in front of the building. Only after that will I get out of the car and and go collect the book. Unlike the last time, they are now handling books in the customary way when it comes to due dates and returns, overdues and fines, etc., but patrons are not allowed in the building, everyone must return their items via the bookdrop.

It’s better than nothing. One day hopefully things will be back to normal. Thanks! I am not really thrilled about the curbside service thing, but it's what we have to do for the time being, so I'll deal with it. At least the library is still open and providing us books, anyway, not fully shut down the way they were for a while in the spring.
Gyms are closed here. But I use my cross trainer in the garage for 35 minutes every morning now. Then if I can, a lunchtime walk.I agree, the AW has been revealing itself as a game changer. I was already pretty disciplined (with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's day I didn't skip a single workout), but this thing really pushes me even further. I have been to the gym 9 times since MondayI want to close the rings!
(second workout is usually light cardio)
