I think (please correct me if I am wrong) that @compwiz1202 was referring to temperatures measured in Fahrenheit, and not Celsius.

Temperatures above 40 F are okay; temperatures above 40C can become uncomfortable, very uncomfortable, very fast, especially if humid, as well.
I'll even take the 40sF in the winter. Just then sometimes the lows get cold. And of course the thermostat never works like a thermostat should. Should never have to change the temp if it regulated the temp properly.

Are you not seeing snow settling around you. We are. Doesn’t feel like Spring.

No.

Here it is dry, bone dry, and bitterly, bitterly, cold, bitingly, piercingly cold, much colder than yesterday - with an icy wind that cuts right through you, irrespective of how many layers you are wearing, as I found to my cost, when putting the bins out earlier this morning - the kind of cold, that snaps with a bite, the kind of cold that - were there a heavy cloud cover - most certainly, we would have had snow.

By spring, I mean not just longer days, (and daffodils) but - better still - brighter days.

The quality of light (and I loathe the darkness of deepest, dreariest winter) has improved enormously in the past ten days.

A new week half done already. I’m not sure if it’s just me but the yearly performance reviews in all North American companies I worked at are to forget about and a tiresome process that leaves me usually dissatisfied with how the whole thing went. Just my issue of course, I could just figure out how to care less.

Besides that, the ongoing winter weather in Ontario is boring me.

I suspect productivity is greatly reduced on dark, cold days. I know it is for me.

Especially with so many working from home these days, some don’t even get out for a walk like they use to with their daily commute.
Here in Toronto, we got dumped 30cm of snow earlier this week, but at least this week we’ve got plenty of sunshine which helps immensely.

For me, too, as it happens.

Every year I am at home, I am reminded - forcibly, yet again - of just how much I loathe, abominate, detest, winter.

My mother did, also.

The cold, the damp, the dreary dismal nature of it all, above all, darkness, the lack of (natural) light.

Actually, at a physical level, this is one of the (many) reasons I love working abroad; for work, over the past 25 years, there have been times when I have spent much of the winter abroad, (in some of the worst and most dysfunctional countries on the planet) but, from a physical perspective, I must say that I loved it.

Can't wait until the humidifier can have a rest for a few months.

Chatted with the carer, - post (medical appointments, etc) still arrives for her, here, and I phoned her to let her know about this; anyway, I am delighted that she is keeping well.

For years, for decades, even, I have been saying that I wished to head off to bed, to sleep, to hibernate, bury myself under duvets once Hallowe'en had happened, and not to awaken from my winter slumber until, let us say, around the middle of March, when longer days, brighter days, warmer days, daffodils and spring would all await me.

And now, it is March, and I am awake.

And IT IS SNOWING.

Cotton wool style snowing; suffocating silence style snowing; silence and stark whiteness against a grey day, under a dark, dark charcoal grey, (now black), threatening and lowering sky.

My drive in was a bit dicey. Didn’t help the motorway was shut. Using the backroads in the snow in a rear wheel drive EV was interesting.

Roads look brutal, agreed.

Ooooof.

Stay safe. And stay sane, and stay warm.

My electric blanket will be put on agreeably early tonight, and I am anticipating tucking into a warming soothing repast, a (homemade) pasta dish, Pasta All'Amatriciana in a few minutes.

Lingering winter, (I hate snow, sleet, ice), those dark lowering threatening skies, the enduring cold.

Thank God and thank tech for online meetings.
Worst than lingering here. It was mild with one insignificant snowfall in Dec-Feb. And there's going to be a third snowfall in 10 days of March

I had spinach and ricotta pasta this evening with a bit of tuna. Enjoy.

I'm 150 posts away from the "65816" title, just realized.

Actually, when I hit "Post" on this one it'll be 149 lol
So there is a real system for all these titles. Always wondered 🤔
I found 2 different sides of all classifications even.

Yes, there is.

A number of threads have discussed - or asked questions about - the various MR "ranks" (and the number of posts that they denote) over the years.

The actual titles themselves are named after various Apple Mac processors, which is fitting, on this site.
