I'm a little surprised to see the forum overrun with people ordering the 7 plus instead of the 7. I thought the 7 plus was still more of a niche device rather than being as popular as it seems to be. Even with the extra camera, which is the only real benefit I see in it.

Of course, it could just be that no one ordering the 7 has anything to bitch about since they are still shipping by next Friday while the plus is pushed to November.

You should never be surprised when it comes to this. More and More People are liking big phones. They find it more useful as there one "go to" device. There will always be people who say its too big but any of the Plus iPhone were never a niche device.

My last two iPhones were 4.7" so I decided to go with the 7+ this time around. I'm sure the added screen real estate will be nice, plus it's true 1080 resolution. And the bigger battery will give me up to 3 hours longer than I get on my 4.7" 6s. Not to mention the amazing camera system.

The 128GB Matte Black 7+ I ordered is set to be delivered on 9/16

People are #1 Fed Up with the dumb 750p Display on the 4.7 it looks Blurry

and #2. Most people are buying a Camera thats actually a phone. Its a communication device but not for Phone Calls

Most people use Twitter Instagram YouTube Snap Chat more than the Actual Phone. All of that is better on a 5.5 Inch display

#3. Tablet Sales are down. Way down, Because watching Neflix in bed on a Cats Video on Youtube is just better on a 5.5 inch 1080p display.

I ordered the 7 32GB in black, and I will get it on launch date.
I already think the 6s plus takes great pictures, so the regular 7 should take as good or better pictures than the 6s plus.
My main concern is battery life on the 7. If it last as long as the SE, I will keep it. If not, I will return it for the plus model even if I have to wait longer to get the plus.

I think more and more people are really starting to use their phones as a "PC". The Plus really can fill the void an iPad would fill.

I'm in the camp that uses a SE and an iPad, but I completely understand the plus model.

"Just the camera"? lol the camera on the iphone 7 plus is going to be an absolute game changer, that is why people are buying the iphone 7 plus over the iphone 7, not to mention the iphone 7 plus has 3GB ram, the smaller iphone 7 has 2gm of ram, also better battery life on the plus model
i never had a 5.5 inch device before either but this time around it was a must buy due to the revolutionary camera the iPhone 7 plus has, i much prefer the 4.7 inch size form but the advantages of the 5.5 inch mode were too good to pass on this time around

I don't need a bigger screen, dual cameras, or longer battery. I just need an overall better phone than my 16GB 5s (and more space).

BATTERY LIFE!!!!!

I must be an extreme user because there's pages of people on here who claim to use their phone for an entire two days but I can run the 4.7" model out by 2pm. So if I can get better battery life I'll try it out. I've been anti Plus model for two iterations now but I'm going to try it out.

The camera, the 3GB RAM, and battery life make it far more ideal unless you just can't stand the 5.5" size. Oh and did I mention the Camera? There seems to be a bigger gap between the 7 and 7 Plus than there was between the 6S and 6S Plus.

Ordered the 7+ for the bigger screen and battery as well as the better camera as I use my phone mainly for photography when don't want to carry my camera around

I was one of those people that thought the 4.7 inch screen was perfect.

I was wrong.

The 5.5 incher is just right for my hands. I wish it was a bit more compact, though, after using my 5.5 Alcatel phone.

There's simply no going back now, as I think the 4.7 inch is too small.

One you go big (Plus) it's tough to go back; I used to be a small-phone fan for the longest time, but once I got my 6s Plus, I can't imagine going back to a non-Plus again.

Not only is it the actual size and battery life, but you're getting extra features on the Plus (like dual-camera).... that sells!

Is the camera that much better? I'm not seeing the advantages of the 2x zoom (which seems to just switch from one camera to the other) when you could physically move the camera closer to the subject. The regular camera is also capable of depth-of-field, albeit not to the extent that Apple was advertising during their presentation. I'm a novice/amateur photographer at best so I apologize if my assumptions seem really naive.

The depth of field is going to be a feature exclusive to the iPhone 7 Plus, two lenses are required to achieve the effect.
And yes the camera is going to be that much better than that of the IPhone 7 4.7 inch Model and previous iPhone models.
And the Optical Zoom feature is important because if you try to take an up close photo of something small such as a wrist watch for example, you can only get so close to the Watch with the iPhone camera that the focus no longer works so you need to move away from the object, in other words, macro photography will benefit from the optical zoom as well
I mentioned the advantages of the Plus model above, 3Gb of ram Vs 2gm is a big deal as well and a very welcome addition

Bigger screen makes the iPhone much more useful for me... My previous phone was 4.7 inch Android and I didnt use it nearly as much as I use 6s Plus now :)

Maybe people are doing it for the dual lens camera.

I've had the 6 plus and the 6S plus so it was always going to be the 7 plus. I need a phablet. I've been using them since 2012 and I'm not going back to a tiny camera.
