I never thought I'd want a big phone, but after having the 6+ and 6S+, there was no way I was going back to a smaller phone. I LOVE my big phones!!

I am actually upgrading from a 6s to a 7+. Mostly for the camera, but most of my friends have the 6/6s+ and I always admire it. So for me it was actually about "upgrading".

I really do believe it is as simple as Apple has made a clear distinction of what their best device is. If you're gonna spend might as well receive all of the features.

That's what I'm saying though. I can see females more inclined to get the 7+ because it fits in a purse. Guys don't tend to carry purses. And my phone is ALWAYS in my back pocket. That's where phones go. If I had a 7+, it would be an invitation to pickpockets because it would always be sticking halfway out..

My husband has an iPhone 6s and always carries it in his front pocket or briefcase.

I just returned my note 7 due to the recall. I am now using my backup phone, iPhone SE. Not afraid to say iOS is so damn boring. But I ordered a jet/glossy black IP7+ just because of the camera to capture every moment of my kids playing. Just the camera.

When the 6 came out I was concerned that the Plus would be too big so I stuck with 4.7. It was bigger than I was used to with the 5 so I was really happy with it at the time. Since then, I have had the chance to play with other people's Plus phones and have really taken a liking to the size.

I have a newborn son. I'm really hoping that the camera knocks it out of the park because the one in the S7 edge is really good. The shots are a bit unrealistic but they look good. I need a good camera in my phone (always with me) to capture my son growing up.
[doublepost=1473485667][/doublepost]The plus was always better for me, not just because of the size but it has a higher resolution display. 1080 p has to be the minimum I can have on a smartphone. It has better battery life and previously it had OIS. Now it has the dual camera. I was always getting the 7+ because of the size but it's nice that it has some additional features to offset the difference in price, other than the display being bigger.

Again, easier for a female to carry the phablet when you always have a purse or other bag that you can put it in vs a pocket.

Might be where you phone goes but mine goes in a front pocket. Never once thought my 6+ was any more difficult than a smaller phone. Why is it so hard to believe that not everyone's needs are the same?

Maybe the world is leaving my ancient 41 year old ass behind. Maybe all you young kids have purses & man bags & cargo shorts. Personally, I like being able to easily slide my phone in my back pocket. I'm still on the 5S as well, so size isn't really an issue for me.

My 6+ easily fits into every pocket in every pair of pants I own. I don't have cargo pants and I don't wear baggy jeans, although I don't wear skinny jeans either. I typically keep it in the front left pocket, just because that's where I've always kept things that aren't my wallet, keys or pocket knife. Back pocket doesn't work for me because I don't like to sit on anything(I remove my wallet when I'm going to sit down.) I'm 36, so we're talking about a 5 year age difference.

With the way you're talking I'm wondering if I happen to buy pants with huge pockets or you just buy ones with tiny pockets.

I have small hands so this will be interesting especially considering I always use lifeproof cases so my iPhone + will be weird to handle.
But I couldn't resist because of the battery life, the camera (on both sides has improved).. And pictures are really important for my work.
Now I realize it even has more ram! I'm sooooo excited! But mine doesn't arrive till October 12

I went 6S+ after the 6 and realised it was too big, I then went SE and after the nostalgia wore off it was too small so here I am back to the 4.7" screen model with the 7.

For all its new swanky features and plus the fact that when the iPhone got bigger I opted for 6+, 6s+ & now 7+. I have no interest nor use for its smaller counterpart.

I'm female and mostly always carry a bag of some sort but my phone is never in it. My phone lives in my pocket all the time. I couldn't be faffed to keep taking it out of a bag every time it beeps.

I got the 7 but still have that nagging feeling I should have gotten the 7+ for the camera. But the size of the plus is what's holding me back. I cycle a lot and I just can't imagine the plus fitting nicely in a bike jersey.

My first Plus was the 6s Plus, which I'm currently rockin'. Its additional Plus differences (like OIS, which the 7 has) helped justify my 'need' to upgrade when I already had a 6. Also myself being over 6' (almost 2m) tall with big hands, if anyone owns a Plus, why shouldn't I... I also figured if I didn't like the Plus size I'd go back during a future upgrade. Now that I have a 6s Plus and am waiting for my new 7 Plus to arrive, I had to find other excuses for not skipping at least one gen for the second time in a row... Also if it weren't for the 6s Plus getting me on the Plus bandwagon, it would've been the 7 Plus for the bigger screen of course, also the dual cameras, extra ram along with traditional Plus advantages that still exist in the 7 lineup. But I was also surprised by 7 Plus overall demand (& lack of supply). With smaller/normal sized hands, the 7 would be more ergonomic. I also know people who still like the 5 better thinking the 6/7 standard size is too big.

I thought 7 plus was huge. I have had it a week now and it's as normal at the 6 was to me.

3GB of RAM
Better camera
Bigger (to change things up... started to get bored with iPhone 6 size)
1080p display (Higher Dot Pitch)

Those are my reasons.

I'm a little surprised to see the forum overrun with people ordering the 7 plus instead of the 7. I thought the 7 plus was still more of a niche device rather than being as popular as it seems to be. Even with the extra camera, which is the only real benefit I see in it.

Of course, it could just be that no one ordering the 7 has anything to bitch about since they are still shipping by next Friday while the plus is pushed to November.
