I came from a 13 pm to a 15 pro and couldn’t be happier. I just got bored of the big size and having to lug it round in shorts pockets through the summer. I had battery concerns but the smaller form factor was more important to me and I needn’t have worried, I easily get to bed with 30% battery left.

People love their huge, honking phones.

I am sure people would carry around an iPad Mini if Apple let you use that as a phone.
There are limits. I went from a 13 Pro to a 15 Pro Max, and due to the design changes and weight changes, the phone doesn’t really feel much harder to hold or carry in pocket. Yet I benefit from larger display, better battery life, and now the best camera system on iPhone.

I went Pro and didn’t go Max. Not because of the $100 but because of the size.
I actually went 13 Pro to 15 Pro Max exclusively for the increased display size and found the new design changes made the transition easier than I was expecting. My wife is still on a 13 Pro Max and there is definitely a noticeable difference in feel/weight between the 13PM and 15PM. I may return to the standard Pro at some point but I’m enjoying the larger form factor now. Haven’t had a large iPhone since the 7 Plus.

The 15PM gets a lot of the buzz because of the 5x telephoto and the great battery life, but the 15P is an awesome device and IMO a huge step up from previous generations. Ultimately it comes down to personal preferences, I for myself have small hands and absolutely could not see myself using the PM regularly.

I think think there is a risk the 15 Pro is doomed to be the "too small battery" phone of this generation. As the different models all have different battery capacities, there is inevitably one with the smallest. And when people using that one do not make it through the day they will blame it on the battery being too small, even though the other models would not have made it through the day at similar use either. Soon it will be a "known problem" of the 15 Pro, similar to how it was with the 12/13 Mini.
😭 so I guess I have to wait until iPhone 18/19 to get out of this jam?

If anything, I see a lot of threads with complaints about the 15 Pro Max. Topics including lagginess, heat issues, camera sharpness, battery drain and screen burn-in…and this is just page 1. There’s even an entire thread dedicated to 15 Pro Max regret!
Yea, there is a lot of trolling on these forums. The truth is that these phones are rock solid for 99.999999% of users.

I go back and forth between the Pro and Pro Max over successive generations. Every time I get the Pro Max, I regret it because it’s bigger than I need a phone to be. The Pro sits in my pocket and does what it needs to do just fine. The Pro Max is more than I need.

I picked up the 15 Pro on Sunday and it was easily the fastest and smoothest upgrade I’ve experienced. Even while downloading and updating all my apps, the phone barely got warm at all. I was also very surprised to see it come preloaded with 17.0.3 as it was only released a few days. Talk about fresh! I suspect that played a part in how seamless everything has been. It’s a good reminder to wait a month or so before buying the latest iPhone. Let Apple work out most of the kinks first.

Dare I say I’m also quite happy with the FineWoven case. Much nicer than I was expecting given all the negative reviews. The back actually feels really nice, kinda like suede. The only thing I will say is it’s a bit slippery out of the box but hopefully that improves with time.

I got my iPhone 15 Pro last Friday, so it hasn’t even been a week, but I’m very happy with mine. I guess it helped that I watched an obscene amount of review videos before our local launch last week, so I knew what I was getting into.

No issues so far. The experience is what I had hoped it would be. Even during setup, when I transferred 400+ GB from my old phone to this one, the 15 Pro didn’t get hot.

It was important to me that I could use my phone with one hand and that I could fit it in my pocket, and the 15 Pro checks those boxes.

On that note, the form factor is excellent. It reminds me of my old iPhone XS, which was both light and comfortable enough in the hand to use without a case. I use my 15 Pro caseless when I’m at home. It’s honestly irresistible to me. 😅

I was curious about the battery life. I came from an iPhone 13 Pro, and anecdotally the iPhone 13 line appears to be the battery champ, so I wanted to know how it would compare.

Last Sunday, I left the house with a fully charged phone. Then a full 12 hours later, my phone was at 18% battery, with a screen time of 7 hours. Honestly, that surpassed my expectations, given that the 15 Pro is considered the worst in terms of battery life in the iPhone 15 line.

So yeah, in summary, I am very happy with my 15 Pro so far! 🤓

I went from a 14 Pro to a 15PM. The bigger screen is easier to read, and when I need full day battery life, I have it. Yes, it's a little harder to one-hand, and it fills my pockets to the Max (har har) but everything is a trade-off and I choose battery life and screen size over smaller overall size. Having lived a year with the smaller phone, it's a perfectly reasonable decision to choose the Pro. As with many things, it boils down to personal preference.

I was excited to go from a 13PM to a 15P just after Apple announced the new iPhones. I’m convinced that I don’t need a big iPhone and that a 6.1-inch is the perfect size as a phone, for me.

I actually secured a 15P in natural titanium on day one and played around with it for a day or two. And then I realised I didn’t like how the titanium finish looked and how the large camera bump not seem to be proportional with the size of the phone. So I returned it and thought of keeping my 13PM.

Then I had a hands-on with the regular 15 at the Apple Store. And I was immediately sold on the design and the feel. It’s the perfect minimalist iPhone. It has all the ‘basics’ - excellent battery life, smaller camera bump without losing out on lossless 12MP 2x zoom and overall a very good camera system, superior frosted glass finish compared to the 15P and of course the price helped a bit with my decision making too.

There’s nothing wrong with the 15P. It’s just not a phone for me.

Thanks for backing up what you said. Many have said their battery lives are good/bad without any evidence.

Op well the fact that the 15 Pro is sold out everywhere ATM suggests its very popular indeed, but naturally most people will talk about the Pro Max version more, because it is the full fat Pro model with no compromises.
Or likely because all the major carriers bought a large amount up front. I ordered mine from my carrier because it’s shipping in 3 days, whereas, Apple was saying well into November.

It's less popular because if people go Pro, they go Pro Max. Bigger display and 25% more battery life. Everyone is used to two-handing it since iPhone 6 Plus. The difference is only $100.

I went Pro and didn’t go Max. Not because of the $100 but because of the size.

The price difference from an iPhone 15 Pro an iPhone 15 Pro Max is $200.

I personally see a lot more Pros in person than Pro Max. The hospital I work at is full of iPhones, and the majority aren't the Max.

Well I got hard time to choose between 15P & PM. Always went for smaller one for better handling, but PM's better battery would be nice and it's now a little lighter and smaller than before, so still thinking should I give it a try..

Im talking about buying outright in the UK, from Apple, Amazon, Currys etc… both the 15 Pro and Max are all out of stock with up to a month wait times. As soon as some stock is available, sold out very quickly. Regular 15 and 15 plus much easier to get though.
