what is unrestrictor

3G unrestrictor is an app or tweak that will make applications that are wifi only work on a 3G connection by tricking the app to think its on WIFI.. this is helpful with youtube for higher quality videos. App store to get rid of the 20MB download limit unless on wifi..

and soon to be Face time .. and other apps that need wifi ..

That sucks. But i'm sure it will be compatible by the time the iPhone 4 is jailbreakable :)

iPhone 4 is "jailbreakable".. the OS is what is jailbroken, and that is already available. My 3G running iOS4 with multitasking+homescreen wallpaper is jailbroken.

Whats is your #1 reason to jailbreak your new iPhone 4?
maybe its winterboard? or maybe vWallpaper?, or maybe tethering?

For me, its iSteamy......lol jk maybe not
I would probably jailbreak it for winterboard
with the 512MB RAM, I wont have to worry of my iPhone 4 lagging :D

you?

Freedom!!!:D

For me, it's Winterboard, 3G Unrestrictor, SBSettings (hopefully that will work again soon!), and even Categories. I know iOS has folders but I will probably use Categories again because you can put more than 12 apps into one folder. I might be fine with having 20 Games folders, but I might not be fine with it.

The hardware on the phone also comes into play when jailbreaking the phone. That's why people with a 3GS running a stock 3.1.3 FW couldn't jailbreak until the spirit jailbreak came out.

No one could jailbreak 3.1.3 until Spirit came out. I couldn't on my 3G. Software is the reason, until you get into RAM and storage.

It could be done before spirit, but it was a pain in the *** process that left the user playing musical firmwares, and a few other steps that really just made you want to start drinking excessively in the end. Spirit however, made the process nice and painless once again.

I was able to jailbreak 3.1.3 on my 3G long before Spirit came out.

Oh, right, I'd forgotten about the "pick the previous firmware" trick, that probably worked. But if 3G was able to jailbreak, 3GS was too. No doubt.

So true! I couldn't believe how much easier it was with Spirit.

Only if you had your 3GS SHSH on file with cydia since apple would sign their FW with the 3GS. I'm glad i never accidentally upgraded my 3GS cuz it was a death sentence without spirit

Theme fo' shizzle. I also have custom sounds for everything (lock, unlock, charging, sms, email sent and receive, etc.)

1.themes,sounds,widgets ect...
2.mywi (thoes thats keep unlimited data) aka (data hog):D me
3.run apps that apple dont approve
4.loves apple but dont like the rules

facetime over 3G now thats what i want..i have very good fast 3G network in my area :p

Free tethering, or at least for a one-time charge for the app.

I'm not paying $20 per month on top of my plan. Maybe if I was on the unlimited plan I would, but if they cap your data, you should be allowed to tether for free.
