100/5 through Charter. Can't complain - I can have several people in the house streaming video without any issues.

I usually average 13-15mbps down and 4mbps up. Did a test after resetting the router the other day (from changing some settings) and got this:

I wish it were always that fast!

This thread makes me sick. I am just outside of a fios area. The best internet connection available for me is Time Warner (I get good DL speeds ranges from 8 to 20Mbps), and I hate the slow upload speeds. Usually I get .6 to .9 Mbps, I really wish I could get at least double that for quicker downloads from my server.

8 mbps down / 1 up, and that's more than enough for me. I notice no degradation with videos and music at all. There are articles out there that talk about people overpaying for speeds they don't realize they don't need or use.

it's actually my neighbor's wifi, its got a HUGE range and it's not password protected, but i don't use it cause they obviously check it.

wonder what the heck they are doing in there...

Sorry bout the huge size, ran it off the website on my iPad and screenshotted it, the retina makes it so large.

On the 20mbps plan with Suddenlink
In Stillwater,OK and don't have Fios here yet,in the area I live in I think 20mbps is the highest you can get on cable,I think other areas of town I have heard 50 but not sure, but I love the town I live in and I have heard that Fios will be coming soon, but right now the 20mbps is fast enough for me,just wish it wasn't so expensive,it's $50 a month! And they recently started capping, for my plan if we go over 250gb a month of data usage it is $10 per each additional 50 gb,but we average about 155gb and under a month so we're ok.

Kinda average for my connection. Sometimes I manage to get the 30Mbps I'm supposed to get.

Gotta love college. I can pull down just under 100Mbps over ethernet (this was over WiFi). I'm pretty sure they don't have gigabit ethernet going to the dorms.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S (64GB))
100Mbps fiber - $35/month. Actual speeds on my iPad are closer to 40Mbps up/down, though. Fast enough.
Are you using a wireless G AP? 35-40mbps is around the limit for that. I would strongly recommend, if you haven't done so already, switching to a wireless N device. Unfortunately, Apple severely crippled the iPad's wireless radio, but you should get around 50-55mbps with a N router upgrade.

Also, for a second there, I thought I had pretty decent bandwidth. This thread certainly killed that idea for me lol. Here is my paltry connection from WOW. At least I have excellent ping times.

Yup, wireless N - my home network is two 5th gen AEBSs, one extending the other's 2.4+5GHz network to cover the far end of my house (and the two Airports are connected at 450Mbps so there's no problem there) ... I think a part of the problem is the lack of speedtest servers in Japan. There is one - just ONE - server in Tokyo, and it frequently reports 0.00Mbps - I guess it's just hammered 24/7 by people with iPhones and Android phones, or something. The next closest one is also trash, and that leaves one about 1000 miles away. So there's really nothing nearby I can test. :(

edit: just tried it again, and I got 76Mbps to a server 1000+ miles away, using my iMac (which is connected by CAT5 to an AEBS which is in turn connected to another AEBS wirelessly @ 450Mbps) but my iPad maxes out at about 40Mbps. Oh well.
