I know a lot of folks don't like the Touch Bar, but I really like and use it often. But, since it's something I like to use (cough cough 3D Touch) it's likely to go away. Anyone else a fan of the Touch Bar?
Using a M1 MacBook Air right now after 5 years of a 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

What I miss the most is one touch Autofill in Safari and one touch suggested message / folder sorting in Mail.

I'd love for macOS to display these suggestions on the bottom of the screen and have a key command to select them.

Can live without everything else the Touch Bar does, though I have to get used to using keys for brightness and volume.

Gawd, MR and the "could be anytime now..." story, again. You wrote an earlier story about this to which the community ridiculed you for saying nothing. Now an update, to still say nothing. New headline... "The October event could be held in October, unless it's held in November, in which case it would be a November event."

Not on a 'Pro'-branded machine, at least.

I can’t get excited any more by these events. The most likely outcome to any events this Fall is the same old 💩 we have grown used to. It is almost assured that any event will merely announce lackluster, incremental updates. Boring crap from what has become a boring company…

Oh no! You have figured out and shared the Apple Event formula! Now we will see even more wanna be "Insiders" pop up in the future lol

We are all waiting for this announcement to crystallize... The wait have been to long, and we can not wait too much longer.
We’ve been waiting so long, it is almost to the point where a realistic person would have expected it a year ago!

Apple is secretive but boringly predictable.

This anticipation is driving me nuts. Please Apple, make the announcement soon!
Same here, I’ve been checking every few hours for the headline. My left mouse finger is poised to hit buy on the 16” 32 or 64gb ram Within seconds.

Yeah, realistically the event date could be as late as 11/2 or 11/9. I think anytime after that is too close to the holidays. They could also pre-announce a few weeks out, though. "Here are our new MacBooks. Available early next month"
Good point — I suppose they could do what they did in April — but I don’t think they like doing that. I’m thinking the event will be next month like the Mac event in 2020. The priority is iPhone, and they are still about a month out with that.

Whenever it is, I think there is enough pent up demand to put those shipments out further than a month. But hey — at least you will be able to order, unlike the PS5 that you can’t even place an order for. Not that I want to, but I find it interesting that Sony doesn’t even have a system in place to at least get in line.
