Tru dat. Two of my favorite jailbreak apps are NoSpot and Remove Background. The first disables spotlight (I think it's useless and intrusive) and the second removes all background apps with a double tap of the menubar (can be customized to exclude apps). I hate having to close background apps one by one.

Thks for the tip on Remove Background. Exactly what i was looking for!

As for Codyormoe, plse don't feed the troll. It will only encourage him to keep posting.

It's been quite a while. I'm guessing that iPad 2 jailbreak will be a no-show. At best we'll get a tethered JB, but that's worse than useless, IMHO.

How is that worse than useless? The only inconvenience is that you dont get to turn off your iPad. Who the hell turns off their iPad or iPhone anyway?

“@comex: (the teaser is at jailbreakme.com)”

I hope this has to do with iPad 2

Yes I assume it's some kind of PDF exploit? For ipad2 at this point I am sad to say it probably isn't lol... :( It's just the way it's gone for the ipad2!!!!

Don't assume its NOT for the iPad 2..because just a few days ago Comex asked everyone to send him the 4.3.1, 4.3.2 and he already had the 4.3.3 files for the iPad 2..I think this jailbreakme has something to do with the iPad 2

I can't imagine what it would be other than for the iPad 2. IOS 5 official release is months away, if its for that I don't know why he would show his hand this early

Musclenerd pretty much confirmed on another forum that this jailbreak IS for the most recent iPad 2 firmware..he said "Really you don't have to look too far back in his timeline to put all the pieces together. (For example comex has already said all of that iPad2 4.3/4.3.1/4.3.2/4.3.3 data collection was for a jailbreak: Twitter / comex: @42395_skyline yeah )"

So YES this is for the iPad 2..now its just a matter of time before this is released..what a great day, my iPad 2 shipped today and now THIS!

Why don't you try jailbreaking it yourself then? Work free at that. Don't forget that these people are taking their own time for free to make this work. Don't be a douche.

I hate people who complain like this. It will be out when it's done.

If I'm using my phone and it crashes while I'm nowhere near my computer and the tethered boot app, what the hell am I supposed to do?

Besides, the window on the jailbreak community is closing fast. With the release of iOS 5 in the coming months, the last few reasons to jailbreak that don't include piracy have been reduced to virtually zero. The only reason I'm jailbroken on my iPhone is for Notified Pro, which is virtually the same implementation as the new Notification Center. Once that's available, I'll probably never jailbreak again. On the iPad, I see absolutely no reason to jailbreak and have an iPad 1 that isn't and probably will never be jailbroken.

Widgets, themes, icons, extra apps like FakeClockUp.

Correct me if I am wrong but you can still boot into "safe mode" which is basically an unjailbroken state. Therefore, you can still use your device.

I never have had a tethered jailbreak for my iPhone and never would. However, I have had a tethered jb for my iPad 1 previously and had no problems with it. I was always very careful and made sure I had enough battery life when I was away from my PC. That said, there still are a ton of things that iOS 5 does not add that I can get through jailbreaking. I will keep jailbreaking both iDevices, at least for now. If in the future, Apple adds everything I could get through jailbreaking, I would stop, but that will never happen. There will always be something that I can get through jailbreaking that I couldn't through stock iOS firmware.

I almost fear that we wont ever get an iPad 2 JB. :(

The jailbreak is coming, its just a matter of time. When IOS 5 comes out we will cross that bridge when we get to it..whats important now is to get the iPad 2 jailbreak out for current firmware which is exactly what comex is working on

Would it be a good idea to update to 4.3.3?? My ipad 2 is still on 4.3 (8F191) never updated it hoping for a jailbreak ever since now.
