iPad When is the iPad 2 jailbreak coming out?

I maybe understand the thrill of posting a new thread saying JAILBREAK OUT and then laughing when everyone gets pissed.

I don't quite get the thrill of trolling when it requires you to constantly post and update your story in response to people's criticisms. Where's the payoff? Keep up the antics until the jailbreak finally releases, then what? Everyone is so excited about the jailbreak they forget to get pissed at you.

The funny thing is that there are people posting fake videos, lies, and OTHERS are the one getting warnings for trolling... :confused:
 
What I am finding REALLY funny about waiting for the release is some comments I have seen on Twitter. A lot of people have been retweeting this:

@comex i will donate $250 if u release JailBreakMe 3.0 before Friday! RETWEET!!!!!!!!!!

Of course I don't think any of these people are serious about donating that much and of course I couldn't afford to anyways. How much would you guys donate to Comex after the jb is released?

He changed the image on his avatar and people are speculating what that means LOL. He tweets but about stuff that has nothing to do with this jailbreak

I wonder if some goon convinced him to take another whack at UnionFS. Although he didn't mention anywhere I noticed his source for this bootstrap.

Yeah all he said a few days ago was that he needed the bootstrap and from what I Have been told it takes Saurik about 24 hours to get it to him..so it cant be that that is postponing the jailbreak..I dont its the unionfs since he did say if he cant figure it out he is scraping it

I know Saurik gave him the iPhone 4 bootstrap, did he mention it was him again?

This is what Comex said originally about the bootstrap which fueled the whole speculation that the jailbreak would be released within 24 hours


okay, I need a bootstrap and I need to convince myself that I'm being silly about @chpwn's extra 673 bytes of image, and...

Now I have no idea what this bootstrap is for but I assume its for the jailbreakme
 
well it's all good people, Saiz is probably about to drop in with some other pearl of wisdom and everything will be clear. He has access to the "files" and header.html.

Also apparently I was being inappropriate and got a warning because I was asking a person to prove what he was writing all over the thread...go figure :confused:

Don't worry about a warning, I received one and did not know for four months. Its really not that big of a deal unless you keep messing up constantly. It's best not to feed the Trolls, or they will keep coming back for more.
 
I figure I would provide an update...jailbreakme.com seems to be back to the normal screen and teaser is gone

If you don't see this, clear your browsers cache and reload page....not sure what it could mean tho. Let's hope for the best
 
I remember him mentioning in a tweet that it was a caching error on his end. Sometimes the jbm2.0 website shows up. This also happened when he had the PDF teaser up.
 
It's been fairly quiet from the JB community. Maybe comex trolled us lol.

Yeah either he has nothing and has just been messing with us or he's finished and he is just waiting for the bootstrap which seems odd that it would take THIS long since I heard it takes about 24 hours for Saurik to send it to him..I just want to know what the deal is already, does he have something or not..enough with the teasers and the silly little riddles..Ok..vent time over LOL I dont mind waiting if there is actually something to wait for
 
Yeah exactly, I mean just post something on twitter that says "I don't actually have anything" or "it's gonna come out soon"...dammit
 
Everyone really needs to chill out. Believe me, I want my iPad jailbroken just as bad as the next guy but Comex is going as quick as he can.

From what other people have said via twitter it seems this is ALL comex. So I think it's important we all remember that. He doesn't have to do this and the fact is 99.9% of us are unable to even imagine where to start. I doubt he's throwing up all these teasers just to mess with us. Of course there's a chance that he's doing that and there will be no JB but I'd say it's far more likely we'll see a JB in the near future. The truth of the matter is we have also seen screen shots of a few people with JB iPad 2's. Comex is brewing something, let's just get excited for what is around the corner!!! :)
 
Sooo, Cydia 1.1.2 was released today by Saurik...I'm gonna go ahead and take that as the reason why the bootstrap release is taking a while....

*Edit: Caught this on another forum as well:

"This /purposely-unreleased/ version of Cydia has only one major change in it (and four tiny things, only one of which is user-visible: the keyboard thing under Search): a modification to “stashing” (the step where your filesystem is rearranged during the initial jailbreak process) made for comex, who recently has been talking about his new platform for handling these things.

This change has not been tested on devices that are already jailbroken (well, I did a cursory test for 2 minutes, but that was all), and users upgrading to this version of Cydia do so at their own peril: Cydia might end up in a “permanent re-stash” loop, or force a stash when the user has purposely previously tricked the mechanism not to (leading to a corrupted filesystem)."

Might be good news.
