When is your MP shipping?

Dam. I also just spoke to TNT (Got tiered of seeing the "Arhem Hub" for three days now...

Apparently they are not shipping it by Air to Sweden. It will be by truck (#&#%&€#€/). Also, as it arrived on Friday to Arnhem they don't drive during weekends (at least what the finish TNT guy told me)

So my ETA is still valid, Wednesday.

What do you guys think? If you get a new computer with "free shipment" for about $5.500 you wouldn't expect it to be on a truck? Anyone else here from Scandinavia with the same problem?
 
not from sweden... austria but mine gets shipped with TNT too. still in hong kong, estimate date is wednesday. IF it arives on this date i'd be happy... but i doubt it. when did yours get shipped?
 
Just a note about TNT, since they're the ones who delivered my Mac Pro... they don't actually update their tracking to say if it's on a flight to whatever destination it's going. My machine was apparently sitting in Hong Kong for over two days according to the tracking system, then suddenly it was in Sydney, heh.

I feel your pain. Mine was dropped at a random site in the States and spend days on a tour of the country via truck. And at that there was a direct Fed-X jet to my local hub. Also notable is that Fed-X says if the target date is the 24th, they will hold the package until the 24th.

The moral to this experience? I should have paid for expedited delivery... I'm canceling a business trip just so I can accept the package.
 
I live in Chicago, and last night the package stopped in Memphis, TN

Oddly enough, the order status says "departed FedEx location" this morning. A sunday! I'm surprised, but I probably still won't get the package until Monday when I'm at work.

Whooohooo! I got my shipping notice last night! :D Unfortunately, FedEx has no information to offer me. :eek:

Now onto obsessive hitting of the FedEx website every minute for updates.

"Estimated delivery" On FedEx site says "Aug 25, 2010 by 4:30 PM" ... but with its current position that is going to be a hard date to meet... Fingers crossed that its just a website glitch like you said.

The whole thing seems pretty quiet to me. My Drobo hanging off of it is about 2 to 3 times as loud as the Pro.

I didn't plan my DVI cables correctly - I bought three 6 foot ones, but I need about 8' to reach my right (third) monitor. I'm picking up another cable tomorrow. :)

One odd thing though...my computer starts the screen saver normally, but when it reaches "sleep time" the left monitor sleeps & the center monitor freezes at whatever it was showing last. I'm not sure yet if it's the monitor or the Mac, but it's really odd.

Mine got shipped on the 18:th. Just talked to TNT. It arrived to Stockholm yesterday (Sunday) but they still want to hold if until Wednesday for strange reasons beyond my understanding. Also the €(%/ told me as it was sent from China I have to pay custom fees for it. WTF.

TNT seems to be such as asholes. I have never had to deal with them, most of work stuff and other apple stuff has been sent by FedEX or (best) UPS. UPS works best. Need to talk to Apple today.

EDIT: Just talked to Apple - They can't do anything, no it's your own fault that we have selected TNT in Europe, no we are not willing to give you a discount for having to wait 4-5 days longer than others. bla bla.

EDIT2: Just checked the tracking, now its out for delivery - called TNT back (as I have got to work) and asked what the hell they'r doing. For an hour ago they told me there is no change in hell it's going to be delivered today as is has to pass customs, they need to find free space on a truck etc. etc.

Customer service Bit***es can be a pain in the ass. "Apparently they found space on a truck and the handling times where quicker" as if two days ahead of schedule is the most common thing.

Whatever :) I'll post an unboxing video. This is the 2.4 Westmere system with 8G Apple ram (And another 8, now in the office), dual 5770 and Intel X-25 SSD.

I spoke to TNT and its being held in customs, they also said that as its not due till wends it wont go out till wends! what a *&^%!

its just sat all of 20 miles away, for 2 days!



*Update*

Now it say's out for delivery! how very random.

Well, to be fair, TNT over in the Netherlands is in my experience the best choice. Way better than UPS and FedEx.

Sadly, I'm at work and it's at home, but at least I can confirm that UK BTO machines are arriving...
 
Mine has been 15 miles from me all weekend :( i really really could have used it this weekend too for my 3d projects.

I really really hope it arrives today. I haven't gone to bed yet cause im waiting for it and cant sleep lol
 
I hate FedEx, as normal they sent it to the wrong local sort facility. So now I wait an extra day for it to go back and forth.
 
hmm tnt catched it up on 18. aug. it left hong kong on 21.8. at 10:00 and still seems to be on the way to germany.
oh man... should be delivered on 24th... gnahhhhhhh :(

Assuming that you've all ordered the 1st day it was available, that's two weeks to the day, it's arrived!! Not bad going!

I was told at time of order, two weeks plus three days shipping. I ordered a 12 core on the 3rd day (Wednesday), hell I was on holiday that week, and my status still shows, "Not Yet Shipped" also giving shipping date of 25th (two weeks after I ordered the system) and delivery still 3rd Sept!!

Well, as TNT has dutch roots it's not that difficult to explain. Also TNT's European hub is in... Netherlands...

My best experience is with the .. Swedish post they always deliver on time, most of the times if its in the same city they deliver the same day to.

Nope. Its sitting at the nearby facility and if it doesn't get on a truck today, I might see what I can do to go get it so I don't have to wait another day.

I tried this by calling Fedex yet again this morning. Status still reads "delivered by Tuesday" but it's been sitting in town somewhere since Saturday. I asked again if I could pick it up today instead of waiting, but was told "the sender has a hold" on this package and that I'd have to wait for it to be delivered tomorrow. I know I'm being impatient, but I just don't understand what the deal is. It's paid for, it's in town, yet it's going to be tomorrow. Why, Apple, why? Sigh.

UPDATE: Delivered. Well, now I just feel toyed with. Where was that false info coming from? No matter. Time to welcome the new one home.
