6-core from 5 days to 8 weeks ?!
Wow, that sounds very reasonable.
I just ordered by telephone with the on-line store in Europe (getting a better discount that way). More or less same model. While the on-line store quotes 5 to 7 working days to ship, the order confirmation states 6 to 8 weeks!
Here's to hoping that that is an error...
Just one last thing : I spend my summer holidays reading this and a couple of other MacRumors threads (on my iPad) and the combined wisdom has helped a lot in making a decision. So many thanks to all who contributed - you know who you are ( strausd, grooveattack, glassbathroom and all the others out there).
Oh, and finally kudos to 'justchillin' for the photo on page 34 : that just made my week
