These may have already been addressed, but here goes again

1) Finder folder setting retained for that specific folder without having to click "always open folder with 'x' view"
2) Customizable Dock - dark glass, textured, no reflection, etc.
3) Yes on the time machine customization - need more user customization for time intervals and a "now" button
4) HP printer drivers that actually work and that also give full functionality to choose color vs black and white prints and also draft vs excellent quality, etc (especially for older printers)
5) clean up any blue highlights buttons, etc to look sharp instead of fuzzy (ie blue indicator balls on dock or the repeat indicator buttons in itunes) why the color blue has to be so fuzzy on a mac is beyond me.
6) consistent scrollbars (glossy or matte) or allow the user to choose the look he desires (much like graphite vs. blue color scheme)
7) customizable menu bar to change the opacity and shade of grey

Here's to hoping...

P.S. I hope they release updates to fix safari issues with not loading pages when an internet connection is present and also fix itunes so when I encode at 256 kbps it reflects 256kbps not 261 or 251 or 239, etc

Finder needs improvement all around. It doesn´t seem to cache previews at all
What I need the most is he-aac support in iTunes/QT.
An increasing number of radio broadcasters are streaming dab radio in he-aac over the net. It´s really a feature winamp and such have supported for years.
I don´t think it´s happening but I´d like iTunes for video. QT is orphanware by now and seriously outclassed by wmp for video playback.

Fix the issue of network computes not appearing on SHARED menu (and if they do the disappear after a few minutes and nover come back).

I certainly expect keyboard and airport fixes for the Macbook pro line. I'm up to about 2 keyboard lock ups a day. And my airport has greatly diminished in effectiveness. Other than that, just general bug fixes and performance improvements would be awesome!

Another annoyance to add:

- When you click on a Folder, link, stack or whatever, then click again without moving the cursor, Leopard ignores that input until you move the cursor over it again.

Really really really annoys me when I am skimming through Folders etc.

I don't get that...unless I've misunderstood...

Click on a stack. Then don't move the cursor and click again.

Or, open a folder so when it opens the folder the cursor lands on one of the folders within it. Without moving the cursor, click again.

Doesn't let you.

What I'd really like to see in 10.5.2

Tiger speed for G4 proccesors!

But more than anything else... please, please, PLEASE Apple sort out the stacks!!

Again, lets me do both

--Fix the sound output issue on Powerbooks
--Fix really slow Time Machine backups
--Fix the spaces quirks. Once clicking on open app icons in the dock wouldn't switch, so I had to restart the dock.
--Add an option to disable "this application was downloaded from the internet." Reminds me of vista.

And I'm not expecting these:

--Bring back standard audio/movie controls to the finder
--Add a way to disable the translucent menu bar. To my surprise I don't mind it that much, but under certain desktop pictures it looks hideous.
--bring back a hierarchical view to the dock (If you miss this, try FinderPop.)
--Fan view's icons should get smaller before showing "x more in finder"

And I'm REALLY not expecting these:
--Bring back classic for Deus Ex.
--Add an aqua theme for those of us who liked Tiger's appearance better (save for the brushed metal.)

All you people requesting a backup now button for time machine, there is already that very feature available when you right click on the dock icon.

Ahhh, just found out what it is. Double clicking speed in the trackpad options.

It helps, but there is still sometimes where I'll be clicking on a folder and it won't open until I move my mouse off it then back on.

Infact, there is even more of an issue now, as I can't open half my folders by clicking, have to do CMD+O.

Disk Utility - needs to be fixed so it doesn't take a year and a day to either update or repair permissions, only to spit out cryptic errors about why some permissions weren't fixed. (read: Leopard doesn't know how).

Mail - needs a LOT of work. Crashes, click to make a new message & nothing happens. Click again. Nothing. Force quit. Re-open later and there are 50 blank draft messages. Problems sending mail. Mail is AWFUL IMHO.

My design gripe:
The dock has tiny blue bubbles in place of where the dark arrows were in tiger. It's hard to see what is running. Please fix.

Stability:
I had officemac word 04 crash on me - kernel exception or something of that nature. powerpoint seemed to be really slow and even after it was quit, my computer was very sluggish for a while. Safari crashed when loading a page with flash embedded somewhere. Random crashes of things like that, I just save my work frequently. Funny thing is, I came from 15 years as a windows user and still feel like this is a vast improvement. I am running 10.5.1 on a c2d mini, and a friend has the same exact setup - we both had trouble installing openoffice

Battery

Hoping they will sort out ( disable / whatever ) something in Leopard so my battery lifetime comes back to about 5 hours. In Tiger, my macbook could easily do 5 -6 hours. With Leopard, I am lucky if the battery last for 3 hours.

I WANT BACK MY 3 HOURS OF BATTERY TIME !

Long time reader.. first time poster.. ;)

I want to see:

- JAVA 6!!! (yes I know about SoyLatte - but Apple needs to deliver, AFAIC)
- Bring back the Tiger Firewall UI and ditch the "new" firewall (I went back to IPFW and use Waterroof for the UI because the "new" firewall just sucks).

mail stopped being able to save passwords to the keychain. i had to reinstall 10.5.1 to get it working again. i'd like to not have to do that in the future.

Could translucent menu bar be worked around in 10.5.2 for my 12" powerbook?

I know the video card doesn't support it, but surely a specification for powerPCs with non-capable video cards could be made so it is "emulated," if you know what I mean.
