When Will Apple Launch New iPad Pro Models?

This will be a minor update.
If I wanted a new iPad, still using the 2018 12.9, I would wait for micro Led

Maybe it's for the iPad Studio/Ultra?
I picture a touchscreen monitor, which I don’t think most people want/need. Also, a notch on a phone or Mac make sense since the space next to it is occupied by useful info…phone: network, clock etc Mac: task bar. You don’t have any of this on an iPad, which would render the space useless.

- iPad Air will get M2 this fall.
- iMac will get M3 this fall
- iPhone 17 Pro models A17 / standard models A16
- iPad Pro models will get M3 in March 2024
- MacBook Air's will also get M3 in March 2024
- MacBook Pro's get M3 Pro/Max at WWDC 2024 June 2024
I'd be very surprised if Apple launches any iPads or Macs this year with M3.

I wouldn't. Isn't M3 coming this fall? The iMac and 13" MacBook "Pro" could get released with a new iPad Air.

I want something impossible, which is an iPad Pro with an M3 Ultra without a fan, or being thick. And the software.. It is getting better!

It is now over six months since Apple launched the current iPad Pros, and with a substantial update rumored for the next-generation, when exactly are the new models expected to launch?
Wow six months is like forever. Try next year. The iPad mini 6 is due soon for an update by Sept.

How about updated iMac, Mac Studio and Mac Pro first?

The current iPad Pros are only 6 months old, have the M2 and superior display techs - if it ain't broken...
I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I think 'sales volume' would be the answer to your question.

ProMotion is coming, I hope.
I want nothing more than that (just sold my iPad mini in part because the screen refresh rate lagging behind all my other devices was annoying), but I think it's unlikely at this time. None of their other non-Pro models have ProMotion, not even their regular iPhone series, so I highly doubt the $400 iPad mini ends up being the first non-Pro model to get it. :(

I was really hoping that ProMotion would trickle down significantly faster across their whole product line, similarly to the way that Retina Displays did.

It's $500 so maybe it will be possible!

120Hz would fix the jelly scroll issues.

I think adding more pro features to the mini is fine, because it is a different size.

I’m using the same, but micro-LED on an iPad is so far out that I’m pretty sure the 2018 will become unsupported long before that.

Still on my 4th gen 12.9 1TB model. Haven’t seen a huge reason to upgrade since I have an M1. I used to be in a roughly 2 year upgrade cycle. About the only thing I really want os a more wear-resistant folio keyboard. I don’t want the weight or cost of a $250 keyboard but I also think build quality has gone down on these over the years.

It better have OLED. And landscape camera seems like the way to go if they can figure out the pencil situation.
