I got the 2018 V day badge just now finally, that’s the only thing I got though. None of my limited edition achievements from 2017 etc (National Park Day etc etc) have been recovered and I honestly doubt they ever will be recovered at this point so I’m just going to forget about them

I keep wondering how is it possible that some users in the beginning of this thread claimed that their past lost limited Edition apple watch achievements that disappeared when they updated to iOS 12 were suddenly repopulating after installing iOS 12.1 as if apple applied some sort of a fix yet some of us didn't get anything restored.. Did these users make that up or did apple restore the achievements for a limited percentage of users and will conduct a wider rollout of the achievement restore in the coming weeks perhaps?

I still have previous limited edition badges that haven’t shown up since I upgraded to iOS 12. I did get my VDay badge a few days after the 11th. I guess my previous badges are not going to restore.

I got the Veterans Day Challenge a few days ago as well after a 3 day delay but that is not what my issue is about as that Veterans Day Challenge was a current and newly released challenge, my main issue is that i had a ton of limited edition achievements from previous years and they are all basically gone and lost ever since I updated to iOS12.
I had some hope reading some of the earlier users in this thread report their achievements were restored when they updated to 12.1 which made me believe perhaps Apple implemented some sort of a fix but that does not seem to be the case.

I think fall somewhere in between. After initially upgrading to iOS 12 & WatchOS 5, my whole awards tab/page could not be accessed, it just had the spinning wheel symbol like it was busy. After incremental updates to iOS and WatchOS I’ve gained the ability to access that page again and can now see my limited edition awards. However, the most frustrating part is being that somewhere down the line, everything is 2-3 days behind. What’s even more frustrating, is even though I’m not the only one in this boat, for some of my friends, theirs is working just fine. I’d like to know what made mine crumble and why is this taking so long to fix? I’ve sent a few emails and talked to an Apple engineer, but aside from doing basic reboots, un-pair/re-pair steps I guess it’s just waiting until the next update restores functionality. Apple Watch is my second most used device and for it to be plagued by bugs like this is unacceptable...

I agree, they need to release an iOS/WatchOS update as to fix this

I don’t have any but 2 of my previous limited edition badges. Once I updated to iOS 12 and WatchOS 5, I lost those badges.

Sidebar...has anyone received a notification for a Thanksgiving Day 2018 limited edition badge? I would assume today or tomorrow if Apple is doing it this year...

I haven’t as of yet, I hope they do have a thanksgiving 5k Limited Time achievement like last year because I actually missed the thanksgiving achievement they had last year due to being busy at work! That was the only limited edition I was missing. (up until updating to iOS12 which stripped most of my limited edition achievements with the exception of 3-Ring in the new year, International women’s day and Heart Month)

So you haven't had all your missing badges restored yet? Some of mine disappeared after updating to 12.0, but they reappeared once I updated to 12.1. I now have all 13 again.

Back to the subject of the Veterans Day Challenge...we finally updated my wife's phone to 12.1 on Saturday and she suddenly had the award. She never got the initial notification for the challenge, but she did a small workout with me anyway. Never got a notification like I did that she completed the challenge. She was a little excited when that showed up after thinking she was left out.

No, none of my limited edition awards were restored

I guess there’s no Thanksgiving Limited Edition achievement this year? I didn’t get any notification of an upcoming achievment on the watch or anything Upcoming I can see in the activity app

I called Apple Care last night because my daily rewards weren't updating. - My continuous move streak shows 512 days which was a few days ago, none of my daily awards are showing - like when I tripled my move goal the other day which wasn't so easy - it hasn't shown up. Anyway - Apple told me that the problem is with IOS 12 - 12.1 was designed to correct some of the problems but not mine. They say to wait 9 days and things should begin to update slowly - and there will (at present be greater delays); I'm going to leave the folks some "feedback" to say this is not acceptable Every other IOS has given me instant feedback which helps to motivate everyone.

I'm glad you got back a more specific response. When I called I was told that the person I was speaking with hadn't heard of the issue yet. If your person is right, and it is somehow tied to iOS 12, then hopefully it'll be fixed in the next update.

No...nothing coming. Apple screwed us this year!

Ugh I was really looking forward to a thanksgiving 5k challenge like last year and really wanted the badge as well because I failed to complete the thanksgiving challenge last year (Not that it even matters at this point as I was stripped of nearly all of my limited edition achievement award badges after updating to iOS12 so even if I had completed the challenge last year it would have probably be gone now just like all the other missing ones)
