It is so funny to see the TSMC vs Sumsung still going on. LOL...Bing Apple fan must be really hard, on one hand you need try to find the one with TSMC on other hand you need to defend Apple regardless.

I feel good switch to my Moto X Play as daily driver, 2 days of battery life with heavy useage no problem. Oh andnit has quick charge build in.

I didn't even know about this whole Samsung/TSMC chip debate till after I decided to upgrade to a 6s Plus from my 6 Plus.

I guess I should be happy that I received a TSMC 6s Plus from ATT but I wouldn't really know since I never used the Samsung version. I do feel that the battery life on my previous 6 Plus is slightly better than my current 6s Plus but that's the only advantage the 6 Plus has.

I had a Samsung chip , lost my phone during snowboarding over the weekend . Got my replacement through insurance. Didn't even remember about the Samsung and TSmC chips deal until I stumbled upon this thread , checked really quick and I have n66map (TSMC) and honestly I can't tell the difference with the chips. Let's just drop this topic already lol.

Samsung here :(, on 9.0 I used to get like 6 hours SOT, and I just updated to the latest beta and been getting non stop at least 9 hours SOT.

Tbh I just got my 6S last week Thursday & it came with a Samsung chip, my sister's cames with a TSMC. I get way more battery than her & I use my phone way more than her so it really doesn't matter. I loving my 6S.

Obviously Samsung supplies Apple with gimped chips to try to get people to get rid of their iPhones and get Samsung's phones.

Luckily Apple also has TSMC in the supply chain.

Hard to compare with other people as the app usages are different. She may be using apps that are more cpu intensive or screen at a higher brightness and so on.

No not really. She only uses her iPhone for iMessage & Wattpad. I use mine a lot for Reddit, Instagram & Machash. My battery usage is way higher than hers.

The chip is one of the less likely causes of this issue. There may be a difference, but it is minimal.

That usage statistic includes the time when the screen is off, while playing music or background downloading, etc. So screen brightness can have zero effect if you listen to music all day.

where do I get iPhone 6s plus with TSMC A9 chip ? Which apple retail store/model has high possibility to have TSMC chip. Please share from your experience. I have already returned 6 phones by now but keep getting samsung chip. Please help
If it's that important to you, I will sell you my 6s Plus SG 128MB with TSMC A9 chip for $1,500 US. It's in mint condition and gets great battery life.
