Used it today in Columbus, Ohio at Eddie Bauer (Easton). The clerk was surprised that it worked but no issues at all. Also, it worked a couple of days ago at the Meijer that it hadn't worked at a couple of weeks ago.

I'm liking :apple: Pay so far. I struggle with neuropathy and having to pull out my wallet, pull out my card, swipe my card, put my card away and then put my wallet away gets old. I know this isn't a big deal for most folks but it can be a real bunch of unfun for me when the neuropathy is really messing with my manual dexterity.

I hope more vendors get on board. And I hope :apple: figures out a way to add those pesky loyalty cards to the :apple: Pay ecosystem.

I tried it at a CVS where it worked before… It no longer worked! I think CVS shut it down because they're aligned with the CurrentC group (Best Buy, Walmart, etc.). SUCKS!!!

This is VHS / Betamax all over again. I hope we're VHS. Maybe Apple should look at history and put Pay over the top by having it carried at porn shops? lol

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but it seems that the Verifone terminals with the external NFC attachment (http://www.verifone.com/products/hardware/multimedia/mx-850/ and the discontinued mx830) that are at a lot of McDonald's and Meijer stores can be a lot fussier. I've had no problems with newer Verifone and Ingenico ones nor whatever they put in gas pumps.

I suspect it's probably because they're old or just have a different antenna structure, but wasn't sure if anyone else has noticed this

I don't think it's my phone because I've talked to a few other folks with iPhone 6 and 6 Pluses, and those have been the same models that have given the most trouble.

Used it at Walgreens, Worked great! Screen on terminal even had a spot that changed between :apple:pay logo and Google Wallet logo.

I feel like that would be the next logical step on the feature's roadmap. I agree with you and wish the same way

I went to a small frozen custard shop in Hollywood, FL over the weekend. It was my first time there and I was surprised to see the little NFC logo on their small PIN pad that was sitting on the counter next to the register.

The girl behind the counter rang me up and I pulled my iPhone out, put it up to the PIN pad and everything worked flawlessly. As soon as the girl got half way through asking me what I was doing with my phone, the receipt started printing out in front of her.

I have a feeling a lot of these merchants that have NFC-enabled terminals have never actually seen it used. That will certainly change considerably over the next several years, I suspect.

Toy r US

Used it at ToyRUs and the cashier had no idea what it was but it worked perfect. Finally my bank...Regions started taking it today so I can use my debit card instead of a credit card!

Yeah one of the employee at Popeye's said I'll be damned and was surprised. And laughs and pulls out her non-smart phone. The other one said she's used hers at Jack in the Box across the street.

Nowhere. Because saving .0000074 seconds on my transaction isn't that important to me.

In b4 muh security.

At a couple vending machines just to see how it worked. Actually went up to one by accident and had my thumb on my home button and "accidentally" got a drink...I really didn't mean to

All the places that I normally shop won't accept NFCs or apple pay...

Wow. I wish I had all day to read forums and be so up to speed as you. You don't have to answer like a @sshole, @sshole.

To be fair, it was also National news. Covered by every major and even local news outlets. Not just a forum thing. Pretty big news, even for non techies.

finally!

Jewel Osco, grocery store in the Chicago Burbs. last night my first time and it was cool. i said to the lady, "did that work?" and she giggled back "yes" so i believe she knew what i was doing.

I used it at Petco and the lady there seemed to be pretty aware of it - mentioned that quite a few people were trying it out and that she was bummed that it wouldn't work with her 5S.

Tried it at Peets coffee today but it didn't work. Apparently it's there just for looks? :p
