I don't agree with what you did.

If the original thread was still here, they would most likely have been more responsive to the folks who are concerned in this thread. Instead, we have this secondary thread and no real time replies from Cinder.

Having said that, Kickstarter type projects are known to take a bit to organize. I sent them an email yesterday and they got back to me assuring me they'll be shipping the protectors out.

I funded this project as well and I'm really not concerned.

Why can't they reply here on this thread. Obviously they were only too eager to answer questions before when they were wanting everyone's money. Have they been banned from this site?

They are supposed to be sending me another review unit, but I haven't gotten it yet...

Kristin

So why haven't you gotten it yet? Have they stopped communication with you? I would have assumed they would KIT with you since you have strong ties to the board and could keep us updated...

I don't know about 'strong ties with the board'...I review cases and screen protectors and I offered to review their product. I probably got more involved with them than with most companies I review things for, but that was mostly due to all the excitement their product was generating on this forum. It was fun. As far as where their product is, and why they haven't sent me an additional sample to review as they said they would, I don't know. I haven't replied back to them to ask. I have plenty of other products to review:) Honestly, they seem very new at this, and they clearly made some mistakes in the way they interacted with people on the forum. But I don't think this necessarily makes them suspect. Products sometimes encounter delays--look at the Thule Atmos X4 that I just reviewed. That product was supposed to come out last September, and it is only launching now...and this is with a major company. Cinder is tiny, untested and new, and maybe they will screw up and fail to deliver a decent product to their backers. I sincerely hope that this isn't the case, and I doubt it is. I know from experience that they are at least capable of manufacturing one really great screen protector--the iPhone 6 Cinder that is featured in my reviews. It was great when I reviewed it and it continued to work perfectly on my teenage daughter's iPhone 6 until I took it off two weeks ago so I could review the Thule Atmos X4 on her phone.

If I hear anything from Cinder, I will let you know, but you can also contact them directly at sales@cupert.com.

Thanks!

Kristin

Sorry, I guess I meant that you are pretty active on the boards. I too am hopeful they deliver! Your review is what made me back their campaign.

Thanks! Sorry if I sounded testy--it was late at night when I responded to you. Good news is that I heard from them today and they say the latest Cinder sample is in the mail. Hopefully it will get to me quickly. I'll keep you guys posted!

Great news, Kristin! Thanks for all your great reviews here!

This also may confirm they're getting ready to ship to their backers, if that hasn't already started.

I just want you to know this is one of the most professional and well written responses I've seen on here. You should be in PR ha. And of course, I loved your review. Keep 'em coming!

I asked Cinder if they will ship their product within this week, and they replied me"We start shipping latest monday. Always remember this is a crowdfunder and its normal with delayed up to 1 year if you dont know that "

Why it is normal to be delayed up to 1 year?

With any crowd funding project, you're simply investing in a product. There's really no guarantee it will become a reality. You're basically taking a chance on the idea will come to market. This isn't exclusive to Cinder.

They did tell you they're staring to ship Monday, so that's definitely a good sign.

Thanks for the explanation!
I hope they are really going to ship it next Monday. Can't wait!

Does anyone know anyway possible to still order this? I missed the early bird boat but I still wanna preorder this sp and I can't find anywhere to do so. I sent the company messages and emails and haven't heard anything back.

Thanks so much! You've made my morning:) My new Cinder review will be coming soon-- I'm especially excited about seeing my new review sample after reading SCJR's excellent review!

Got an update from them this morning (8:26am EST) via indiegogo:

Dear backers,

Unfortunately we have had a small delay in one part of the packaging, why we are delayed with shipping a few days.

We cant promise anything yet, but if all goes well, monday and tuesday will start shipping.

We will keep you updated.

Regards

I got the same message. I get that they're new and still figuring out but jesus they need to figure it out soon. Their updating process has been extremely unprofessional and unless this product is as great as they and the reviewers are saying, I can't see them staying afloat.

I don't know what bothers me more, the delays or the poor grammar in their updates. While I expected delays, the way their messages and comments on their campaign are written only make them look even more unprofessional.

They are so unprofessional and i hate them literally!!!!! Even they are a new brand, but there is no excuse for so much delay when they gave their commitment. Now i finally understand why they told me it maybe a delay up to one year!
And when ppl are mad and leave message on their page, they replied nothing! They have no gut to face their backers! So pathetic!

I'm surprised it is delayed! I thought from the way they conducted themselves on here that they were a stand up company.

BTW how do all the people that have paid get their money back if they never send them or is your money gone?

I had a totally different opinion of them when they were in this forum. I thought the rep was totally unprofessional when he jumped on another thread where I was discussing my complete satisfaction with my Benks protector. I thought initially it was odd that they were allowed to pitch their product when the forum rules don't allow it. Then they jumped on my thread and kept pointing out how much better their product was than the Benks. At that point they went to unprofessional.

I know that the Benks group has kind of fallen off the face of the earth now with their website useless. But I'm still sporting my Benks full screen protector in white with no issues - no chipping, no lifting and no dust collection at the edges (at least that I can see).

I still truly hope that Cinder does come through for you with a truly great protector. It stinks to be in a waiting game when you don't feel confident with the company.

I had a similar experience with Spigen at the iPhone 6 plus release when they couldn't keep up with their orders. I was so frustrated trying to get them to respond to cancelled orders that were out over a month. I ended up having to file a complaint with PayPal to get my money back.
