Have you guys purchased crowndfunded stuff before? There are always delays and they never come when they are supposed to. I just wait and when they show up, they show up.

The company has many variables against them. Production, packaging, and other people that they are depending upon to be on time.

Be patient and it will arrive when it does

This is not like making a purchase on Amazon. I am always amazed how pissed off people get at Kickstarted and Indiegogo.
You must be kidding. Nobody said he wants it earlier than promised. But if they say "we will ship latest by xx" and then postpone and postpone people are not happy. It's not just about time, it's about communication. If you don't meet your own deadline, don't wait till it's over and let people speculate. Communicate early why you won't meet the deadline.

I have no issue with them postponing production. I understand that happens. I have issue with them not telling the clientele about it. A normal company, even a start up, would email the client base early and say "we apologize for the inconvenience but we will be postponing due to product issues..." etc. Instead, they're postponing and then emailing weeks later saying "Oh we had to postpone. Sorry, we forgot to tell you." It doesn't matter if you're a start up company or not. If you aren't communicating with your clientele you are not going to be successful.

I'm going to be incredibly pissed off if they end up messing up orders and sending me a different color or iP6+ one instead.

Or you could say "I'm going to be incredibly happy if they send me exactly what I've ordered!"

You get what you ask for :)

... although we do not wish to repeat the error and promise a certain date.

... shipping is scheduled to begin from tuesday.

In China it's already friday and not even a hint how much longer it will take, nor what the cause might be.
At least I would like to know how many are already packed/finalized and why they are not beeing shipped yet.

Be thankful you're receiving updates.

Many crowd funding campaigns completely disappear off the face of the earth. This is completely normal fare for crowd funding.

You're investing in the possibility a product comes to market. There are no guarantees in crowd funding.

Better to relax now. Who knows, you may need to vent after receiving the product. Safe your energy for your review of CINDER.

Thankful? Well, I think some people did not get the difference between normal waiting time and a delay. That is why I am asking for updates. If they would have said "we will ship in three weeks", I would not ask for updates in the mean time. But if you are behind schedule and delay it more and more often, you should at least give an update.

It only takes 2 min to write 2 lines in a quick update.

I don't know how it works for other people, but if I delay a project at work I will certainly give an update and a reason and not quietly wait and hope nobody will ask me about it.

I understand the difference between crowd funding and buying a product from a well established business.

There's a risk investing in a crowd funding project. Delays are normal. Communication that might not be up to par is normal. Failures are normal. Did you understand the risks before pledging your support to the project? There are plenty of articles about crowd funding pitfalls. It's the nature of the beast.

Be that as it may, you're free to vent. Just note; it won't make a difference on how quickly you receive CINDER. Who knows, you may receive it and hate it. Then you can really go to town. :)

I understand your view too, I just don't see a correlation between risk/risky new business/crowd funding and communication.

I don't blame the delays if they would finally communicate what's up.

And concerning the product, I still hope for the best. They sent out quite a few samples and all seemed to be fine in the end. The earlier they have the SP on the market the faster the people will tell other people about it. And so far it seems to be the best on the market in terms of material, thickness and protection. Big business if they do their marketing right and keep up the quality.

I know it can be very frustrating. When I first started using Kickstarter, I would get so mad when they didn't follow through. Now I just pledge and wait. There isn't much else you can do. Yes, communication is very important, but all we can do is ask on their comment page...

They should tell us their progress because Tuesday is over, It is Friday now! But I understand, they are crowd funding, they can delay up to 1 year as they said! So nothing we can do....but we have rights to yell and give them some pressures haha

Or you can act like an adult and exercise some patience.

I am not as patient as you are...but my point is, they can do a better marketing, like keep posting pics when they delay, not disappear. It is my first time to invest in this kind of thing. Maybe we should lower our standard in this stuff, but ppl who are mad because of the delays, they have their freedom to express their disappointment on this thread. Not being rude, just being honest. And sorry for my lousy english. :)

Oh, I'm one of the least patient people I know. I've never invested in anything like this before (and didn't invest in this) and these issues are the reason why I never have. And don't worry about the English. Your English is better than my (insert another language here).

From the IGG Cinder comments page:

We just received information that all is assembled and shipping company will pick up all this coming sunday. So shipping will start monday. We will send out an update sunday/monday when shipping start has been confirmed.

By now it's Tuesday in China. So either the items have been shipped on Monday or have not been shipped on Monday.
