I gave up on my spigens rugged capsule. It seemed loose and made the cinder lift. The cinder on my 6s works fine without a case.

Going almost naked! I wish I could.

It seems that when I have a case on my phone, I never drop it, but when I go naked, I seem to drop it more.

Will you put a skin on it? Wish there were a skin that was clear and had impact protection. Zagg has one, but I don't think it wraps around the edges.

Check out Liquipel skins.

Edit: oops, sorry, they do have front and back impact skins, but the back does not wrap around the sides.

I am looking for a case with a raised lip compatible with the cinder. Trial and error seems like a lot of $$$.

I'm using Body Glove with my 6+ and Cinder. It has the raised lip. What I wish it has was the power button and volume buttons covered. I ordered plugs for the earbud and lightning port. I'm looking for a case that covers the volume/lock button and I think I found one that's minimalist. I have the ones I know are compatible from another thread on here. I'll post it tonight.

No, I am batch 2. A friend of mine is batch 3. What explanation did they give, that batch 3 would take so long? Probably because they first need to restock Amazon.

I was under the impression all of 2 was shipped. Not true? I am in batch three instead of one because there was a clerical error with my Indegogo account. My name was missing somehow. So instead of contacting me they stuck me in batch 3 and said nothing. Been waiting since early May.

Haha, yeah if you follow this thread here or go back a page, you can see that Cupert already sent batch 2 four times, according to their statements.:cool::rolleyes:

Well I tried to re-apply the cinder from one 6s+ to another 6s+ and I was surprised at how well the adhesive worked.

However, there are 2 bubbles on the left side that did not go away. From what it looks, it seems as though the edge of the "clear" screen and white side got damaged.

It was as clean of an install as I could get, I did it really quick and there were no dust, but unfortunately this is an eye-sore. I'm going to leave it there for now until CINDER becomes available on amazon to purchase or something similar comes along for the 6s+.

A fair warning for those thinking of doing this: don't do it unless you have to, you may get it to perfectly re-apply without bubbles or you may end up like me :(

You can thank Apple for the trying to go as thin as possible with the curved edges and slippery surface. If they would have kept the squared edges it would be much better to grip.

how are you guys getting perfect installs on these screen protectors? is it possible to use a case with a lip to guide it perfectly centered on the phone?

Somebody said that the cutouts are almost too small which results in a glow for the front camera. Are the pictures with the front camera turning out fine or are there issues?

So sorry it did not work out perfectly for you! I was able to successfully transplant a Cinder from one iPhone 6 to another, but this was an earlier version in their development cycle, so perhaps it is trickier with these later versions. I think they are slightly thinner now than what I originally reviewed. Or it could just be bad luck...Anyway, I'm sorry to hear it!

I just received my iPhone 6s and the Apple official leather case today. The case is pretty tight fit and I don't think its going to be able to fit the Cinder, as someone mentioned here that it is compatible with the Apple leather case. It's most likely that Apple hasn't changed the dimensions of the case from their previous models to accommodate the changes in thickness ins 6s. I believe this means that I cannot use the official leather case.

Anyone here using the same combination?

I had a pretty bad experience with Cinder. Received mine from Amazon earlier this week. Got what appeared to be an precisely aligned install, but it left a long bubble about an inch thick along the entire right side of the iPhone 6S Plus. I was able to minimize the bubble somewhat, but only by going with an unaligned installation.

My attempts to resolve this directly with Cinder were non-productive. I'm not sure if there is an issue with the support people not being native english speakers or what, but it was like pulling nails to try to get information from them. They initially asked me to send the glass back to their "headquarters" for investigation without indicating when/if they would ship a replacement, who would pay for the shipment and whether they would reimburse me for my costs. Moreover, the address they list on their website is a post office box which meant that I couldn't ship the glass back to them via FedEx, my shipper of choice.

It was only after I detailed my poor experience on Twitter and left a negative review on Amazon that they got back to me and confirmed that they would ship me a new one and would cover my return costs -- however, once again without providing any details on how that process would work or how long it would take.

Finally, I got fed up and just did an Amazon refund/return. If you are going to charge a premium price for a screen protector, I think you should try to offer premium support. It I was running Cinder, I would have immediately apologized, offered to overnight a replacement or, at a minimum, emailed me a pre-paid shipping label for return.

Overall, the whole thing proved very disappointing.

One of our team went to the shipping company twice this week and, on Friday, witnessed all packages being sent to the post office.

Cupert really knows how to ruin their reputation.

did you wait the 48 hours for everything to "settle"?

Yes, I did. But this wasn't even that type of issue. It was pretty clear from the beginning (if you have any experience with glass protectors) that this was a fit issue rather than mere bubble or adhesive.

My fingernail literally scratched the glass. It's a deep scratch too, lol gorilla glass yeah okay...

Edit: wow just saw someone on Amazon reviews say the same. It's not Gorilla Glass, they contacted Corning themselves:

Amazon Verified Purchase
We contacted Corning to verify whether Cupert Technology is actually using Corning Gorilla Glass in the CINDER screen protector. According to the Corning rep, Gorilla Glass is not used in the CINDER. Further, Corning stated that Gorilla Glass is NOT approved for use in screen protectors generally. Below is the email exchange. I hope that Cupert addresses this issue.

Thank you for your inquiry. Corning Gorilla® Glass is a cover glass designed into consumer electronic devices. I can confirm that the Gorilla Glass brand has not been authorized for use with screen protectors.

Yes, they play that language card a lot. The know exactly what's going on. The simply dont have any replacements to ship you. They sold them all on amazon.

These protectors are coming out of China, and once corning sells the glass how it is actually used may not be known to them.

I'd still like Cupert to comment.
