I haven't noticed any glare or issues with my front camera since installing it.

I've attached some pictures of my Ice Max and Apple Leather Case as well.

Mate - you're an expert at applying that protector! It doesn't even look like an add on! Can I pay you to do mine when it arrives? lol

I've got the saddle brown leather case too so it's great to see that it all fits together nicely!

Received my Cinder today, within the first 10 Backers, and am in the UK!
Me too. Arrived in the post the just after I picked up my 6S 128GB!!!

Best screen protector ever used, and I've used a fair few over the years. It feels really nice to the touch, the oleophobic coating is top notch, and it fits like a glove (currently using Ringke Crystal Fusion Case while awaiting the kickstarter project from bullettrain - safe wallet).

Have got an Ice Max on order from Ali Express which will go on my wife's Rose Gold 6S.

Finally, after all the waiting, a product that fulfils its goal, very happy.

Cupert sent a new newsletter.

At Cupert, we pride ourselves on our honesty and integrity, so we wanted to send our valued customers a company update.

As a new enterprise, our vision is to become known as a company that listens to its customers and takes all feedback seriously. We want to be the best of the best. Recently, some false allegations were made on Amazon concerning our use of Corning glass in CINDER, but also stating that we weren’t permitted to use the Corning name in our marketing. Being a reputable company, we were understandably concerned and contacted our manufacturing facility and called Corning.

We contacted Corning in order to verify what was said, and to act as professionally responsible as possible. We wish be known as a respected brand.

We had several in-depth conversations with members of Corning's top management staff, as well as their legal department, in order to sort things out. We were surprised by what we learned. Corning informed us that no brand within the screen protection industry is allowed to use their trademarked "Corning® Gorilla® Glass" name in any marketing materials. Cupert immediately began complying by removing the Corning name from all our online marketing.

Our agreement with Corning is that we can sell our current stock "as is", but must change the packaging in our next production cycle.

At Cupert, we constantly strive to better our products based on the feedback we receive. In immediate response to a few issues some users experienced, we have made CINDER even stronger, revised the formulation of our adhesive to make it even better - causing less chances of bubbles and hazes during the screen protector application process. We have also lengthened and greatly improved our instruction manual text, offering more details to ensure better clarity as well as putting it into four languages …

This enhanced batch of products is due to soon arrive in the U.S. At that time, expected to open the 24th October, we will begin selling our products worldwide and offering global shipping, directly from our website, www.cupert.com.

We want to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and continued support. Please reach out to support@cupert.com with any additional questions, product concerns or to ask about replacements, if needed.

So, Cupert is only saying that according to Gorilla Corning, they are not allowed to use Corning in their marketing materials. BUT Cupert does not state that they indeed use Corning Gorilla Glass. Why not? I guess because they don't use it.

I think it is pretty strongly implied in the newsletter that they do indeed use Corning Gorilla Glass...they just are not allowed to use the Corning Gorilla Glass name in their marketing materials.

I agree with @kgenova (and myself, as I have said this several times in several threads) in that they do indeed use the material, but they aren't allowed to advertise it or benefit from Corning's trademarked/copyrighted branding.

So why did they not say then that even if they use it, they are not allowed to say so?

But I guess if they would not use it, they would have to erease it from their existing packaging. I am just wondering why IMOS can still state that they are using Gorilla Corning.

http://www.goprotect.net

How can one company be allowed to use it in big letters everywhere if Cupert states that NOBODY is allowed to refer to Corning. Something is weird here.

Maybe Imos doesn't understand the rules either?

I had a positive experience with Cupert that I feel obliged to share. I got a cinder for my 6s+ in the first go around from amazon. It went on well but as I was trying to carefully put my case back on--the cinder broke. I was gutted. I emailed Cupert not expecting much. 15 minutes later I got an email back from them. They asked me to describe exactly how it happened, step by step, which I did in my reply. Again, not 15 minutes passed and they wrote back and told me I could return it to Amazon for refund/replacement. I was shocked, and relieved! I have since ordered and received a daswise which i think might work better for me as at least for now I seem to be changing my cases up a bit. Once I get the k11 bumper I think it is back to cinder so I plan on getting another. Anyway, I hope this adds to this discussion.

They did nothing special. You don't need their permission to return to Amazon.

So Cupert has again lied about the 15th being their ship to customer date. Sure glad Cupert plans to sell on Oct 24th, but where is my backer Cinder?

As for the Corning issue. All I see is that Corning does not make screen protectors. Makes sense, they sell glass. You always need the trademark holders permission to use their name. Does not mean the glass is not gorilla. All Cupert is complying with is the use of a trademarked name.

Probably b/c someone (not to name names, @frifra ) may have pushed this thread to more than 31 pages b/c he/she has posted more than 130x in it.
The last two or three pages would have been enough to answer his question. The thread is so long, because people ask the same question again and again.

@moomoopanda
Maybe, I did not see your anwer, but multiple people have asked if you have a glare or other issues with the front camera with Cinder, because of the small cut outs. Do you? Thanks in advance.

Maybe the thread is so long because Cupert is so "honest" with us every week. If they promise 4 times it was sent and shipped and tracking will work and it doesn't, it becomes of course much more frustrating than if they would have said we will ship in 8 weeks. But no, Cupert knows better. First they did not "wish to repeat the same error again by making a promise they cannot keep" and then it's the whole thing over and over again - very trustworthy.

But 10 weeks ago they said shipment 3 would be out. I still don't have my Cinder, even though I am shipment 2.
Amazon reviews are not so good anymore for Cinder and it looks like that is the reason Cupert will now sell it through another shop/place.

And still the question remains about the Gorilla Glass. I mean they could answer on IGG to a comment, stating, we are using it but are not allowed to say so. Instead they are saying "It sure is the correct glass, thats guaranteed."

So Cupert's manufacturer has no relation to Corning or what so ever => It is not Corning Glass then. If you read about IMOS and their manufacturer GTOC you will see that they indeed use Corning. So if Cupert really uses Corning they should be able to provide similiar proof from/of their manufacturer.

I ordered a Cinder for my 6s plus weeks ago. It was slated to ship today. After reading the problems they have been having, it was no surprise to me that it did not ship and they sent this today:

Your shipment from Amazon has been delayed to ship out between the 26th and 28th of October.

Amazon has proven not to be the right marketplace for our products yet. We tried it, but found there were service, set-up, and delivery limitations not in keeping with our company goals and vision.

We learned a lot from our Amazon experience, and we appreciate all the positive, supportive comments, and helpful tips from our buyers. It’s strengthened Cupert’s conviction to always do our utmost to deliver the best product and customer service we can.

We’ve already taken steps to further enhance our newest batch of products:
• Revised the formulation of our screen protector adhesive to make it even better — causing less chance of bubbles and hazes occurring during the application process.
• Lengthened and significantly improved our instruction manual text to offer more details and and make it even easier to understand. Plus, put it in four languages.
• Made our stunning, curved glass CINDER curved, edge-to-edge, wrapped glass screen protector even stronger to offer greater protection.

Although we will not be accepting any more orders from Amazon, please rest assured that ALL open orders will be filled and shipped out latest October 28th. * Plus, all returns and replacements will also be handled. We apologize for any inconveniences, and delays in being able to order our products.

*PLEASE NOTE: The current delay in shipping was caused by our desire to immediately implement these changes in our production. All open orders will receive the newest, enhanced version of our products.

We thank you for order(s) and your continued support. Please reach out to [e-mail address removed] with any questions. We’re here to help. Please keep checking our Facebook page for updates and additional information.

Cupert simply could not deal with the negative reviews. There are no issue with selling on Amazon, but you need product to sell, and product for replacements.

BTW...No one on Amazon should get a Cinder before I do. My order has been pending since May 9th. Cupert SUCKS.
