Thanks for the pics. Do you think the rubber portion is the same? Mine stretched in a few spots on my 4S I guess over time from taking it in and out of my pocket. I never took it off the phone so it couldn't of been from that.

Went for the otterbox commuter case, didn't have much luck getting the screen protector on so gave up with that.

So far it seems tight, but in time that could change.

Just ordered the Incipio Feather

Clear Rocketfish case from BB. Still searching for a good one. But this may well be it.

Waiting on the LifeProof iPhone 5 case so I can take my iPhone swimming with me :)

Not really, but it's nice to keep it protected from water. The 6.6 ft depth limit is just a bonus.

If you're going to have a bulky case, you might as well have the best. I plan on having this phone for at least 2 years, hopefully longer, so I'm not taking any chances. Not only does it protect from water, it protects from dirt, fine dust, etc. It's also pretty light weight, if it's anything like my friend's 4S Lifeproof case (which I only spent about 5 minutes with).

Waterproofness, drop protection, and dirt protection in a sleek case? Well, why not.

Video of it in action:

YOU CAN TAKE VIDEO UNDER WATER...

Here is a video someone took underwater at a beach in Florida with the Lifeproof case on an iPhone:

My 3 Finalists: Switcheasy NUDE, Incipio Feather, and Wrapsol.

Trying to avoid adding any thickness or weight to the iphone 5 but still having some protection. After counting out wrapsol due to the difficult application, I settled on the NUDE becuase it doesn't have any markings/logos and appears to have full edge coverage whereas the feather has significant cut outs.

do u know if the switcheasy nude has a raised front edge so that if u lay it face down on the table, the table wont damage the screen?

Waiting to see what the desmay slight is like than well decide between that or the sgp ultra thin or incase snap

Ordered a crappy dirt cheap clear silicon case from Amazon. Only reason for doing so is that I'm off to the US next month, so will pick up a decent one from somewhere like bestbuy. Would rather get to look at them up close than order online.

Interestingly, I've always used a Google G1 'sleeve' - it's fit every iPhone perfectly, except the 5.

I've ordered a few from Amazon to try out. These are the slimmest I could find (at least until the Desmay Slight 5 comes out).

1. Apple iPhone 5 Ringke SLIM Soft Feeling Premium Hard Case : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...SIN=B00993E8B6&linkCode=as2&tag=6458422537-20

2. Anker Glaze Case for iPhone 5: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...SIN=B008WXM43S&linkCode=as2&tag=6458422537-20

3. Photive Natural Slim Fit Case for Apple iPhone 5: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...SIN=B0097BZNPK&linkCode=as2&tag=6458422537-20

4. Slim Hard Plastic Snap-On Matte Back Case for new iPhone5 5TH GEN (this one is the closest I could find to the Desmay Slight): http://www.ebay.com/itm/230851440663

--

First impressions:

1. Not bad, not as thin as the Desmay Slight (the iPhone 4S version). This one's a "soft finish" or rubbery feel. There's also a non-rubbery one.

2. Meh. TPU case paired with a plastic bumper. I wouldn't consider this one slim at all.

3. I like. Reminds me of the Case-Mate Barely There series.

4. The closest I could get to an official Desmay Slight. This very well might be what Desmay will release.

DODOcase BOOKback and iPhone Wallet for iPhone 5

Thanks for the order. Our sewing team is busy working on all the orders that have been coming through for the iPhone Wallet. On Friday night, we also launched support for the iPhone 5 in our BOOKback line. If you find the aluminum back a bit slick, the BOOKback adds a really cool texture. Info here:

Let me know if anyone has any questions.

I bought cellairis. The guy was throwing his own iPhone 5 to show that there case are tough. Lol I bought it to avoid scuffing. Pretty much it's nice and still lighter than my 4s.

Craig,

I just ordered your case this afternoon. It looks like the perfect balance between going with no case and covering up a great looking phone - although I am predicting that I will get a lot of admiring comments on my soon to be new case. I like the idea of having the phone protected while it is in my pocket, but completely uncovered while I am using it. Can't wait for my case to arrive.

Do you have a guestimate of how long before it will ship - just a ballpark estimate would be appreciated.

I too am looking for a really minimal case. Can you tell me something really specific about these cases? Do any of them NOT have a lip in the front that comes past the edge of the screen. In other words, some have a slight extra lip so that if you set the phone face down, it protects the screen. The problem is, it gets on the way of my thumbs, so I prefer one without the extra lip. Can you let me know which of these has a lip? Thanks.

Picked up an Incase Slider from Best Buy tonight, fantastic case. I prefer it to the Incipio NGP I had on my 4.

Only #2 has a lip.
