It's hard plastic with a non-scratch texture. Mine arrived after 2 days.
It's really nice and slim. The white is going to get dirty though - the band round the outside is made of a porous plastic to give grip I guess, but it will soak up the dirt- go for a black one is that is the sort of thing that bothers you.

FYI, my iPhone came today, so I added my black Feather. Really nice combination. Very little added thickness, and much less slippery feel. I am sure I will get some additional cases, but for now this is a great start!

Ended up getting the Tunewear Eggshell at Yodobashi in Shinjuku. Easily 150 different case options there alone.
Comes with case, front and back protectors, protection install kit, phone strap and home button cover. About $27.00 equivalent.
There sure were a lot of cases for iPhone 5 in Japan, Tokyu Hands had a huge display too, including metal and wood bumper types.

It looks great. One of the better ones I've seen so far.
Question: On the website, it seems like it's just a bumper with the backside exposed, but you mentioned that it comes with a front and back protector. Is it like a screen protector for the backside or a clear plastic/TPU?

Casemate barely there black for the 5. Very happy with this case. Nice matte grip. Perfect fit. I've had the same casemate on my 4/4s for 2 years.
so far i really like it, i ordered the Zoogue case but it will not be available in 3 - 6 weeks, so i picked up two of the Ringke for myself and my wife, very slim and tight fit and protect the phone really well. A lot of people said it will scratch your phone, but if you be careful install and remove should have no problem at all.
This is the worst thing I have seen on the internet. You might as well poop in a ziplock bag and stick your phone in that, and carry that around. That will provide just as much protection and will make the phone look just as good.

Great find!!! Only thing it's missing from what I'm looking for exactly is A pouch for the ear pods. I might get this one anyway. The price is extremely cheap too.
Yuck! I hate those bulky cases, turns a sexy iphone into clunky looking junk.
