6S with Samsung chip, a lot of stuttering even after a complete restore in 9.02.

For those who tell that TSMC chip is causing lags, you're wrong.

I know what yours is: it's an Apple A9. It meets Apple's specs, and everything else is essentially irrelevant.
I am curious how the 2013 Air SSD write speed debacle fits into your notion of irrelevance? The Sandisk blades wrote 1/2 as fast as the Samsung and did not meet the advertised speeds. Surely Apple thought at the time that the Sandisk met their specs too? But they didn't and in 2014 all Air SSDs were Samsung.

iPad 2 was also manufactured using two different A5 chips, performance was the same, but one had significant battery life improvements. Apple made no mention of this in specs or elsewhere.

I think we have conclusive proof that there is no conclusive proof of any difference.

Some are seeing TSMC scores right with Samsung's, but scores fluctuate each time you run them on the same phone let alone a different phone.

I would bet a whole lot of money whatever advantages the 2nm smaller chip gave were weeded out by Apple in the software to make them both even. All we are seeing is normal deviations in the data.

If you look at Geekbench battery life scores we have currently, TSMC scores aren't near Samsung's, but it's too early to tell for sure how this will turn out.

You consider less than 1/2 a percent difference statistically significant? You are talking 10 points out of approx. 2500 afterall; or 20 out of approx 4400.

At this point you are all jumping to conclusions.

At this point we are gathering data to see what it shows. Reviewing early preliminary data is not jumping to conclusions.

I am quite obsessive about my gadgets, but this thread is completely ridiculous. There is absolutely no proof that one is better than the other.

There was no proof the earth was round until enough data was gathered.

I am talking about people who are hell bent to declare one chip superior based on tiny samples. I am not against people collecting data.

I just did a geekbench right after this one and got way different results. It just goes to show how much the geekbench can vary.

Not sure why it scored lower. Here are my past results:

I'll do a battery score tonight.

You said, "you are all jumping to conclusions." Sounded to me like you were talking about "all" of us.
Just wanted to point out that many of us are not concluding anything yet.

I hear Elvis is still alive. Maybe you should look into that one as well.
