Which chip does your 6s(6s+) have?

I'll check what I have tomorrow but I have a feeling it's a tsmc because I keep getting seconds long freezes and slow responding apps at times.

That's an iOS 9 issue. There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that TSMC chips cause freezing or any issues whatsoever. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch

There's this bizarre feeling here that TSMC is inferior to Samsung simply because people have heard of Samsung since they make end user products. TSMC doesn't make end user products, but they are far more experienced at semiconductor manufacturing. They make all the chips for AMD, nVidia, Qualcomm and many more. Even Intel has used them as an adjunct source for some of their chips when their own factories couldn't meet demand.

how do i check now that the profile is banned by apple? i just exchanged my iPhone today. its super laggy compared to my first one so I'm wondering why

Why do people automatically assume Samsung's chip is superior?
Because the forums are full of armchair engineers and they think a 14nm CPU is automatically better than a 16nm CPU in terms of performance/battery life. In reality, they have no idea what that number actually means and why the Samsung could be the least efficient one. :D

Well, it looks like it partially installed the app on my phone. I cannot delete it now. I dont get the option to hit the X when I have the icon shaking....

No freeway to check? I would like to know but don't think its worth paying 2.99 to know what chip your phone has

I have rerun this geekbench battery test.

I was given the option to delete the app in the same place where I 'trusted' the developer in the settings. Maybe you can delete it there.

Just got done running the battery test overnight on both phones (Samsung and TSMC chips). Not sure if the test is accurate, but here are the results:

Samsung:

TSMC:

Surprisingly, my TSMC chip is able to last longer, by quite a large margin, than the Samsung chip. Also, FYI, both phones are pretty much identical as they are both running on the same backup and settings. Both updated to the latest iOS.

I'm going to run another test overnight again to see if it's still the same.

This is a really interesting test result. I wouldn't expect this.

Does the Samsung run significantly hotter?
