That Lirum app doesn't dick around with your device does it? Make changes, overclock processor, optimize memory, tweak other stuff, etc?

Picked up 2 SIM-free 6s 64GB on Saturday in Austria at a local store called Mediamarkt. Both are TSMC

I'm exchanging however many times it takes. Sounds crazy but not really...
Sounds crazy because it is crazy. The day after you eventually manage the swap, this whole thing will have been definitely proven bogus, and someone else will be claiming that actually the Samsung chip is better.

It is ridiculous. People who do those things are the reason that policies become stricter.

How the heck is it going to get more strict than 14 days?

This is a real problem. I have one of each chip type sitting on my desk right now. There is a difference. It is noticeable. It is not a huge difference. I payed $1030US for my iPhone 6s Plus. That is an exorbitant amount of money that FULLY justifies the right of the purchaser to be 100% satisfied, no matter what it takes.

Exactly.

So my Samsung chipped 6s+ has currently done 26.5 hours since its last charge, I still have 48% of my charge left.

Are you seriously suggesting I need to go to the store to exchange a phone which is exceeding my expectations because of the chip design?

I'd love to know how I word that so I don't look a complete idiot.

By adding in a re-stocking fee. Might even move it to 7 days.

I'm assuming that's 26.5 standby hours in which case it's not using the CPU so it won't make a difference. It'll it's usage then the only way you could get 26.5 hours of usage is listening to music or podcasts which again is barely using the CPU.

Basically the difference anyone will see depends on how much CPU usage is being done combined with screen brightness and cell signal strength.

For example, I'm at my workplace, where I get 3 bars and there are bright overhead lights, and my battery has drop 5% with 30 minutes of usage. At my home where I get 5 bars (cell tower is about 1/4 mile away) and lighting is darker, I ran the GeekBench3 battery test which tasks the CPU (TSMC) and only dropped 1% in 30 minutes. At my workplace the difference between a Samsung and TSMC chip would probably negligible. At my home though it would make a big difference.

Is this decent battery life? Seems to be the same as my 6. I have the infamous Samsung chip.

Damn it! The replacement phone I got to fix a different problem has a Samsung chip. My original phone had a TSMC one. I bet the problem isn't even fixed either.
