I'm running Geekbench now on my TSMC 6S vs. my fiancé's Samsung 6S, and honestly the results are pretty much the same. My TSMC phone may come in at a few points lower most of the time, but they're achieving just about the same results. Once in awhile mine will edge out hers.

As you can the results go low to what people are posting for Samsung. These were all back to back to back.

As you can see there is variance just on the same phone by 20-40 points running these all within 2 minutes.

Do not be so caught up on chip brand, it likely means nothing.

Why are you happy? What proof is out there that Samsung is any better than TSMC? Stop spreading madness, people! My nVidia GPUs have all been TSMC and the current crop / Maxwell series kicks ass and process has been perfected. Seriously, this is going to be such a non-issue I predict.

I can see it now. Someone will search for a way to "unlock" an alleged power cap on the larger TSMC chip allowing it to outperform the smaller Samsung chip. Where will the Samsung love go then?
14nm > 16nm

TSMC if anything is kind of like SanDisk and the SSD drives. Maybe they're not as fast as Samsung, but they've been in the business (TSMC to chips and SanDisk to hard drives) for awhile and know what they're doing.

I also want to note that TSMC built the A8, the A8X that makes your Air 2 run like a champ, and is also producing the prototypes for the A10. So there's that.

Samsung chip is 10% smaller, so 10% more power efficient, 10% faster and just 10% better. Since this is the case the TSMC chipped phones should be 10% cheaper.
And you came to this conclusion based on emperical evidence and concise double blind testing, with years of chip production in your resume, right?

Here we go! ChipGate!

Ok let's review, we have covered the following;

Battery issue
Variable chip issue
Screen blotches
Lagging
Freezing
3D Touch is a gimmick
Live Photos is gimmick
Over heating
Waterproofing
Stronger screen glass dropping
Stronger screen glass scratches

Have not seen any bent phones yet, who wants to get that going again by bending their phone?

You'd be surprised.... Apple has been putting slower SSD's in their MacBooks for years. You either get a super fast Samsung one or an 'average SSD' like Sandisk or the mediocre Toshiba(sand force) SSD. So I'm well aware of Apple's previous 'Lottery' schemes.
Your complaint would have more validity if you were responsible for procuring 70,000,000 million or more parts within a year or less. You think procuring such volume of parts from only one source for all parts is possible?

A 1% difference in these benchmarks is within the margin of error of running the test on the same device. If I run the benchmark over and over again I get variations all within the same margin that were seeing here between the difference of manufacturers. Even if a 1% difference were actually consistent this would be beyond insignificant in daily use.
Thank you, finally a bit of sanity.

What the HEK is going on?

Hold on to your sanity, as all around you are running in circles screaming wildly, "MY PHONE IS FLAWED!!!"

Welcome to another September iPhone launch.
