I choose the smaller iPhone 11 Pro because I prefer smaller phones. The reason I prefer smaller phones is because they are better for one-hand use (which I value) and more portable. (FYI, I am NOT including the standard iPhone 11 in this forum.)

After struggling to hold the device with the iPhone 8 Plus and Xs Max, I decided to go with the Pro last year and couldn’t be happier. It’s still got solid battery life that gets me through a heavy usage day easily with battery percentage mark hovering somewhere in the 20s and it’s nowhere as bulky as the Max size, fits in my jeans fine and one handed usability is a bliss.

I picked the iPhone 11 because it was cheaper. Pocket logic!
You have a good reason, but in this individual forum, the standard iPhone 11 is NOT included. I am talking about ONLY the PRO versions and NOT THE STANDARD IPHONE 11 in this forum. So which PRO version size would you choose, Max or not? And why?

Like you I prefer the smaller iPhone 11 Pro because I want a phone I can easily use with one hand, and one that easily fits into pockets. For one handed use the 11 Pro is even a bit of a stretch for me. I wouldn’t want to go any larger.

The max/plus phones are way too cumbersome to hold normally, even in a normal case ... BUT if a Loopy Case is used, the Plus & Max phones are EASIER to hold than the smaller phones without a loopy case.
The fact that people have gotten rid of their big phones because they can't hold them is a "tragedy" because if they had only snapped on a loopy case - they'd easily be able to hold it and use it one handed.

This is the first time I ever went to a larger display because I do A LOT of stuff on my phone and I like the extra real estate.

I couldn’t be happier and I won’t be going back to the smaller phones anytime soon. Funny thing is after a while, you get so used to it, you just think this is a regular size phone.

To each his own, it’s purely subjective.

Since the feature set is mostly identical it comes down to picking the screen (= main interface) that you prefer.

Plus the bigger one likely last a bit longer on battery.

I’d personally get the bigger one for that reason.

Last year, after one year with 8 plus (my first plus/max iphone, taken for the best camera compared with 8) I chosen XS normal: pocket dimension, smaller, lighter, a little bit less expensive.

I’m siding with the Pro Max (I have the XS Max) because I love bigger phones, screens and batteries. I have an X which is entirely too small for me so it’s a back up phone now.

Silver 11 Pro. Admittedly, I’m tempted everyday by the Max for its superb battery life and bigger screen for browsing or playing COD Mobile. Portability and one-handed usability won out though. Plus, I heard it’s noticeably heavier than the XS Max.

11 Pro. I value one-handed use a lot. I take public transit and its usually standing room only, gotta hold onto something with my other hand or I'll go flying. Useful when I'm out and about and holding onto something like a drink or coffee and also need to check something on my phone. The 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max have improved battery so much compared to its predecessors that I don't need the extra battery of the Max.

Pro Max 256gig. Why???A few reasons. Battery life, bigger screen, and because I could. Straight up honesty.
Thoughts on it.....
I love it. 2 days between charging, beautiful screen, and power that’s absurd to have in a phone. Apple got it right with the Pro series in my opinion.

I got the Pro Max first because I was always impressed by the Max and Plus models in store. But it was too unwieldy for me. So I sold it and got the regular Pro model. Now I miss the battery life of the Max.

Pro Max for real estate and battery

Actually, I’d wager the battery life belongs to the iPhone 11 considerably. Sure, I’ll give you the screen ‘real estate’ for the Pro max, but I don’t think the battery life has anything more exceptional over the 11.

If you're using phone for calls and texting, go for the pro. If you watch movies etc then the pro max.

This is the easiest thing to decide, dont know why there are 1000 threads on this.

Do you want the biggest screen possible for iPhone? Go for the Max (yes it is bigger obviously so harder to carry for some people)

Easy pocket-ability? Go for the standard size.

My journey was Pro Max > Pro > Pro Max. Yes the Pro is lighter, easier to use one handed, and it even had very good battery life. BUT, as stated numerous times, the screen and the amazing battery life of the Pro Max make it all worth it. I just can't see myself going back to a smaller screened phone and being happy with it.

one handed use was the #1 factor for me. who wouldn't want a larger screen and longer battery life? i think i could get used to the Pro Max's extra bulk in my pocket, but my hands aren't big enough to use it one handed. in fact, the 11 (6.1") was not comfortable for me to use one-handed, else i might have opted for it.
