11 Pro. I prefer the light size. The 11 Pro Max is the heaviest iPhone at almost .5 lbs. Just too bulky to carry around. If they are able to make the 6.7" 12 Pro Max lighter, I may consider going back to the Max size.
Actually, I’d wager the battery life belongs to the iPhone 11 considerably. Sure, I’ll give you the screen ‘real estate’ for the Pro max, but I don’t think the battery life has anything more exceptional over the 11.
11 Pro Max lasts considerably longer than the 11 Pro depending on the task.
Do you have any of the examples of the 11 outlasting the pro max?Bolded:
You obviously contradicted yourself with your own keyword using ’depending’. Battery life is the most subjective factor in terms of any phone, as you said yourself it’s dependent on what you’re using it for, tasking, media, camera operations, ect.
Furthermore, in the same argument, there are plenty of other examples of the 11 trumping the Pro Max with battery usage, but then it reverts back to the original point, it’s entirely subjective on the usage.

Just because it doesn’t last CONSIDERABLY longer than the 11 Pro in some tasks does not automatically mean shorter battery life than the 11 Pro.
Go back and read your first post that you quoted me, then re-read what you just wrote now. Tell me that’s not contradictory in anyway whatsoever. But do you see where I’m getting at? You can sit there argue battery diagnostics all day long, you’re never going to have a mutual agreement based on someone else’s usage just because ‘You said so’. It’s completely variable on every aspect. Case in point.
I’m still bored; so, I’ll entertain this again. If B is faster than A and C is faster than B, no matter how you slice it C will be faster than A. Whether 1MPH or 100MPH, faster is faster.
If the 11 Pro has longer life than the 11 and the 11 Pro Max has longer life than the 11 Pro, no matter how you slice it the 11 Pro Max will have longer life than the 11. Whether it‘s 30 mins or 3 hours, longer is longer. As I said earlier, there are tons of YouTube videos that substantiate this—I’ve watched at least 9 videos showing the same result. XS—XS Max—11/XR—11 Pro—11 Pro Max.
If that’s not enough, feel free to use the compare tool on Apple.com. The only figure that is not higher for the 11 Pro over the 11 is the audio playback—65 hours each. That‘s not subjective. That is information directly from the manufacturer. It is what it is.
This is a solid post. And I don’t necessarily disagree with the Raw data that Apple claims, Various YouTube videos, etc. Now, anecdotal data is a totally different subject that has just as much credibility in a lot of ways, because of all the tweaks/settings that can be adjusted with battery life. There was a thread that I had discussion with another regular member, [which I can’t find, but will post here if I do] but we were having a similar discussion where he did mention he/she owned both iPhone 11/Pro-Max and he was achieving slightly better battery life with the 11.
On a sidenote:
And I realize this is an entirely relevant to the iPhone, but as a stainless Apple Watch owner, the Apple Watch is ready at ~18 hours, a lot of members can achieve well over that, and other members say that’s BS, when they can’t even exceed 18 hours. But with certain apps, settings and adjustments, I can achieve 24 hours, if not slightly better. So what’s my point? It goes back to the realm of what I said from the beginning, it really depends on how you use your phone and what for in terms of media/tasking/apps, etc. Just because of what Apple claims or a’ YouTube’ video, isnt indicative of everybody else’s experience in terms of what they achieve for battery life.
If it were me, I would choose the regular 11 Pro, simply because of the smaller size made it easier to pocket. Considering it has the exact same hardware as the max (other than obviously the larger screen and larger battery), I won't miss anything feature-wise.
At the same time, during actual use, I do prefer tha Max as the larger screen just give me more screen real estate and usability. However, for me a phone also needs to be practical during transport, thus back to my original point.
The XS is not included in this forum. I am assuming you prefer the smaller iPhone 11 Pro compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.Xs. Smaller size, cheaper price![]()
When the phones came out I had an 11 pro max. A couple of weeks ago I lost the phone on the bus and replaced it with a standard 11. The 11 is the best size of all three in my opinion (I had a X and XS when those were released). I do miss the telephoto more than I though I would and I’ll be honest it’s been hard going back to LCD over OLED (even if Apple’s LCD’s are really great). I really hope the rumours about the 12 pro (or whatever they call it) being 6.1 inches pan out because if they could keep the screen size but thin out the bezels and slightly reduce the footprint of the device I’d be totally satisfied.
