Following on Antennagate and Bendgate, which "gate" do you think is being cooked up to attempt to disrupt the launch of this year's iPhone?

Pitches have already been made for Speakergate and Donglegate.

What's your prediction for this year's "gate"?
Boringgate?

Seriously. At this point then Apple has established itself as a powerful but boring brand. People who upgrade do it out of routine rather than necessity. And people who spend time "attempting to disrupt a launch" don't (never?) actually exist.

I'll be upgrading only because I'm on a plan that allows me to do it for "free" and even a minor mediocre upgrade is still an upgrade.

Will 2016 finally be the year of an iPhone without a ___GATE?
These features pique my concern:
1. "Fusion" cores+"2 Battery Saving Cores"
2. (Jet Black) Scratchgate/Scuffgate 2.0
3. Inconsistencies with the Aux to lightning adapter(probably not gate material)
4. Home Button(Clickgate?)

I'm not trying to offend anyone with this. It just happens every year and I'm speculating.
So what do you think will be this year's *gate? Anything raising an eyelid? :D

the phones will be scuffed quickly for sure. im going to put a back screen protector on and be done with it.

Watergate (the seals could have quality problem, so many will get water damage)
I considered it, then remembered that even the 6s has remarkable resilience to water so I can only imagine they'd get it right when they tout it.

I'm going with Watergate. Water damage isn't covered under warranty so I can see people pushing the limits and complaining when the seals fail.

I also agree it will be "Watergate" (stupid, but people will think it's clever) from people abusing the water resistance properties. My only hope is that some idiot slips and dies while trying to use their iPhone in the shower.

I dont see anything major this year, Apple was very conservative with the iphone 7 design wise :) safe play.

Cameragate... There will be some issues with the 7+ camera, since it is the first gen dual camera. Just like there were issues with the early 6+ camera.

Apple has posted a warning about scratches on the Jet Black model on its website. But people will still whine and complain about it.
Oh yeah definitely. One apprehension besides the disclaimer for me, was that these type of finishes typically out of the box will have micro scratches and blemishes.

Excellent Thread Topic Heres My Speculation on "iPhone 7 Gates"

#1. Jet Black Glossy Scratches Out of the Box Not enough supply for Replacements Until January 2017
yes it scratches but the Outagre will be from new Pre-scratched Units.
#2. Broken Home Button People will keep pressing it in too hard and break something. because it does not move
#3. Dual Camera Malfunctions never been done before Bound to be Problems in such a complex system
#4. Battery Gate People will NOT like the Sluggish performance of Email and Texting in the Slower Fusion Cores and will want an Option to keep the Phone Running Full Speed Killing Battery Life.
#5. iOS 10 Gate No More Slide To Unlock You can only Use Finger Print ID or Enter you PIN Code People like me hate Both Option. Slide to Unlock will be brought back Via Update.
#6. Supply Gate the iPhone 7 Plus will Outsell the small 7 and we all know there is NOT enough Supply
128GB 7 Plus Units are hitting $1,500 on the Grey Market.

Speakergate as the top speaker will blast people's ears while talking on the phone.

Return of antennagate as the new location will give poor reception.

Also probably buttongate as the new waterproof buttons work poorly especially if wet.

And as others have said Watergate as iPhones will be damaged by swimmers and scuba divers. :)
