I traded my ipad 4 16gb wifi and 250gb xbox 360 slim today, bought a $10 used game and got $446 in store credit. The amount of hours I logged on the xbox was probably 1.5 hours. But don't worry, I have a brand new sealed xbox 360 slim system that I won from dave & busters. I'm trying to decide what to do with the credit. I was thinking of getting Amazon gift cards and trying to get a galaxy note 8.0 lte or a nexus 7 fhd lte. Decisions decisions. Currently I already have enough points on my Dave & Busters card to win a PS4, Xbox One, and Ipad Air when they get those shipments in. I just happen to be a D&B master.

Worked perfect. Got $327 for an iPad 2 32gb Wi-Fi. $300 in Amazon GCs, $20 Starbucks and a used XBOX 360 game. Not bad considering I couldn't even find a buyer at $200 cash.

Wow... okay this seems the right route to go. Almost had a buyer last night for $300 cash, but this seems like way less hassle.

Do you have to be a power up member to take advantage of this deal?

I joined the free power up membership, because I wasn't going to spend my entire trade amount. It was $353 credit, bought a game for $1.99 to get the 30% bonus which was $458. Bought $450 in Amazon cards and $5 went on that card.

I don't think you need to be a member.

Wow, almost exact same for me: It was $353 credit, bought a game for $1.99 to get the 30% bonus which was $458. Bought $450 in Amazon cards and a $25 Shell Gas card that I paid 20$ for. I was not a member of the club.

This was no hassle and the GameStop associate was quick and professional. I kept my cable and charger since this would have only given me $1 more...

The Amazon cards were "kindle" cards but that does not matter they are gift cards for anything on Amazon. I redeemed them to my Amazon account and I am good to go.

You sure about that?

Sorry what I meant by that is: If your iDevice has any problems within its first year you can go to an Apple store and swap it out for a new one if they can reproduce the issue. For example I owned an iPhone 5 that I had for 11 months and it developed a problem with its on/off power button. They gave me a brand new one.

for people who traded in at gamestop, did they charge you a $10 "refurb service" fee?

Traded in my iPad 4 16gb wifi today at Game Stop. I originally was set on just taking the cash value but couldn't resist the extra value with the in store credit. Got $409 with the extra 30%. Bought a .99 game to qualify for the preowned item and got $400 in Amazon gift cards. The remaining $8.51 went on a gift card. Was wanting a new TV so this seemed like the perfect way to get one!

Anyone get like new value or just good?

This is my second trade in with Game Stop, the first was my iPhone 5 a month ago and both times I've been given Like New value. Both items I traded in we're in very good condition but had clearly been used, just scuffs and minor marks on them.

I did it yesterday with an iPhone 5. If you buy any pre-owned item then you get the extra 30% credit.

So there were a stack of old, used ps2 games and I got Alias for $1.99 and got the extra 30% bonus.

Walked out with $475 in Amazon gift cards.

which iPhone 5 did you trade to get 475?

Gamestop. There is currently a 30% trade in bonus on devices as well. That's what I did with my 3rd Gen 64GB. Ended up out the door with *edit $442 in Amazon gift cards for it.

I agree, Gamestop seems to be offering the most cash for in-store buybacks.

Mine was on the receipt but it was $0.00

I got like new at a store I used to work it at. I took it to a different store first. The guy told me they would only give $200 because it was "scratched up on the edges, which is normal." It has been in a case since it came out of the box. I asked him to point out the scratch. It turned out to be HIS finger smudge. :D
