Netflix Korean Drama Queenmaker is spectacularly entertaining. The plot, characters, and acting are top knotch and make the series compelling to an English speaker even with subtitles. Warning: It’s hard to stop watching it!

I hope you like it! I’m trying to find Colin from Accounts ;)
If your outside the UK use a VPN to access BBC iPlayer

Currently going through Colin ...

Having watched Mr InBetween it may seem like I'm an Aussie TV obsessive but it's just by fluke these are Aussie shows :)

The best TV shows in the past year I've seen are

Better Call Saul (netflix) -- possibly my favourite show of the past five or so years.
Atlanta (Disney+) - very wierd and like Twilight Zone 😂
Mr InBetween -- I can't even spoil the synopsis for you as that's half the surprise
And now Colin from Accounts

Ad says it all with a picture of someone else using his voice promoting the Jack Benny Show. Long Lucky Strike commercials are a kick. Since it has been 70 years the shows have fallen into the public domain. Found an ebay seller who sold me "all" episodes on 34 disks as only a few of the shows are available on streaming. Turns out there are quite a few missing episodes so it will be an interesting project to see if I can find them.

Ted Lasso S3 is awful so far (e5 was the latest release). Here, I said it.
It gets worse and worse. It’s a video train wreck. I just can’t look away even though I should. It’s not even a guilty pleasure. I’m not even a soccer fan, but I really enjoy TV shows, movies or docos about sport. I find them fascinating. Like Boom Boom, the Becker Doco. Def worth a watch.

S3 E7 of Ted is possibly the worst episode so far. Not only is it very lazy writing but has has some very dodgy agenda rammed down our throats as well. Simplifying things to the point of pure idiocy.

Think I’ve just talked myself into stop watching it. Don’t think I can do it anymore. The flagellation stops here!

The Big door prize is kind of interesting although most of the characters are unlikeable and basically just selfish. Which is kind of the point of the show but the characters need to be more charismatic annd rounded to keep us interested if they are unlikeable. Plus I have never felt the characters are real. And that keeps us at arms length. Great concept though.

Shrinking I gave up on after a few episode. Utter tripe.

Slow horses had potential but unraveled for me during the first episode.

Liaison was solid. The ending didn’t like up to the build up but Vincent Cassel was great.

Hopefully Apple has a few more interesting shows in the works. So far I give them a C overall.

I really like Slow Horses.

Lasso - The second season was just okay and I figured the 3rd would continue the decline. Building a show on a running gag is such a stretch...

yeah. I imagine it is their most popular show though. They still don't have a water cooler show.

I'm actually kind of binging Everybody Loves Raymond. I'd never seen it before. Up to the 2nd season. It's fun and easy going funny! It's certainly not Seinfeld, but I miss shows that just try to be funny... especially when they are called comedies. Not politics, no drama.

I'm surprised people aren't rating S3 highly. I haven't seen any of S3 yet but I did enjoy S1 and S2 and now wondering is it worth the effort to find S3 episodes lol

Agreed.

Same here. My wife agrees too.

I think that 6 was worse, but 7 is a close second.

I don’t mind them doing politics; it’s their show, so they can write of whatever topic they want. However, as a viewer I do care when it’s done so badly. For example, in S2 Sam went against the airline. That wasn’t too bad, it was built up and there was some connection/reason regarding his family. S3E7? Jeez, that was just a fact dump, all of a sudden, resolved so quickly, out of nowhere. Let alone the stereotype about immigrants all thinking the same thing with no debate etc (again, I am referring to the writing, not the topic itself). Similar with Colin in S3E3: they start the episode like that, no growing of character etc. and now poor Colin is Flanderized to the point his sexuality is literally the only element of his character. For example the same issue is discussed in Severance, but it’s done very well, as integral part of the plot and the character.
Think I’ve just talked myself into stop watching it.
At this point I’ll probably finish this season.

What surprised the most about S3E7 was the blatant sexual harassment/abuse. Cords tied to the players’ private parts in order to inflict pain? Are we joking here?

On a lark I started watching Gilmore Girls. It was a surprise. Lightweight entertainment but rocket quick humor based on common life situations. Wish I could do verbal banter as fast and well as they do. Some educational interest was well. I had never heard of a "bok jo ri". Interesting to see Milo Ventimiglia and Supernatural's Jared Padaleck in early roles.

You might like it! Nothing wrong with that. We're all different.

I've just started Archer S11. That was such a great show at the beginning. (Even wrote a spec script for it for a competition as I enjoyed it that much!) And then it decided to go into different genres which was an interesting idea, but didn't really work. So I stopped watching then decided to start again and giving S11 a try.

I binge watched Archer s1-9 then lost interest when they changed the show. Is it worth sticking with ?

Getting into Bobs Burgers at the moment and loving it. Same guy does the lead characters voice :)
