On a lark I started watching Gilmore Girls. It was a surprise. Lightweight entertainment but rocket quick humor based on common life situations. Wish I could do verbal banter as fast and well as they do. Some educational interest was well. I had never heard of a "bok jo ri". Interesting to see Milo Ventimiglia and Supernatural's Jared Padaleck in early roles.

I watch this show quite often as my wife loves it. S7 is awful and the “One Year in the Life” miniseries is very controversial in the fandom (personally, I like it).

I like shows about small towns, probably because of the fact that I am a huge Twin Peaks fan (which is referenced multiple times in GG, and many of the actors in TP appear in GG).

I binge watched Archer s1-9 then lost interest when they changed the show. Is it worth sticking with ?
Mmm... If you have periods in the day where you got a spare 20-30 mins you need to kill and you watch it on your phone, then yeah, I think it's worth a watch. If it's something you choose to watch at home on the big screen during times when you could be watching something else? No. Probs not worth it.

Waiting, with bated* breath, for Queen Charlotte, supposedly coming out this Friday.

*not baited, look it up...
That's one phrase I never really understood at first.

Bated breath first appeared in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice in 1605. Using a shortened form of abated, which means "stopped or reduced," the phrase refers to people holding their breath in excitement or fear as they wait to see what happens next.

Not done with The Diplomat yet but if you like Jack Ryan, or The Night Office, then I think that you'll like this one. Far less action but far more geopolitics. It's already approved for a second season, similar to Jack Reacher, etc.

I’m really enjoying The Diplomat, too.

Still super addicted to BARRY, every episode is absolutely amazing. So funny and so sad. Last episode was pretty sad. Poor Cristobal.

I started also The White House Plumbers, it’s all right but I have difficulties with that thick accent of Woody. I always watch with subtitles but still, it’s a weird accent he’s doing.

Spoiler much?
;)

So why watch? Serious question, I would have dumped a show like that already.
Just a few episodes (I think 4) left to the end of the series, at this point I want to see where it goes. Interesting study on how to destroy a TV series. The scene in the locker room in E8 was one of the most cringe scenes I have ever seen in a high budget tv show.

(Tweet above ain’t mine and I have no idea who the person is. I randomly found it while looking for the scene. I say this because it looks like that Twitter account is quite political)

Been watching Picard S3. It's better then the previous seasons, but not so great.

2 things which have bothered me:
Patrick Steward is finally playing the character more like Cpt Picard like we knew and not just an old fogey, you know someone with some presence.

7 of 9. She was like the Worf mix with Data character in Voyager, a fish out of water type, trying or not trying to fit in with the crew. She had a bit of a robotic way about her and was learning things. If you go back you will see what I mean. Now she is completely removed from how she was and it's like she's a different person other then looks. Now she's just some ordinary character without any uniqueness.

A bit late to the party on this but - BOBS BURGERS 😂

Great easy watch and just put an episode on when you have a few minutes

On season 3 at the moment and how did I miss this lol

This is what I’m going to watch tonight in order of appearance but I might keep BARRY for the end to last the pleasure😊

Good to see Jennifer Garner. Just started to watch this, so not much opinions yes. Hope it's good.
Seems like yesterday I watched Alias, or maybe not. Because I'm not sure I finished it though...can't recall ☺️

I've been watching since episode 1 and enjoying it. Especially getting 2 months free ATV+ free thanks to a discount code supplied by Jennifer Garner on IG. I ended up buying the kindle version of the book so I know the full story but won't spoil it. Will just say the series has been very true to the book.

The death of the excellent actor Terrence Hardiman this week reminds me to think of resurrecting some of the wonderful TV series' (Cadfael, Secret Army, The Demon Headmaster, among others) where he played impressive roles.

I'm over halfway through Naoki Ursawa's Monster. It's easily one of the best anime--best show--I've seen so far.😍 How do you go about fixing the greatest mistake of your life? What would you do if you saved the life of mass murderer/the next Hitler? How would you feel if your heroic act of saving a single life ended up costing hundreds/thousands/millions of others their lives?

The characters are all well developed, even the minor characters are real. No cookie cutter characters. Johan seems a bit Gary Stu, but that's the reason the old regime power brokers want to make him the next Furher.

Johan [the "monster"] would not kill the man who saved his life, Dr. Tenma. That's the only plot shielding our protaganist has, which is pretty credible. Hitler had no problem exterminating the Jews, but would not allow the Nazi to harm the Jewish doctor, Eduard Bloch. Dr. Bloch was the Hitler family doctor.

We are currently watching Queen Charlotte, and finding it quite interesting. Very well written, if some license was taken with history.

PS. next day. We have finished watching QC. Beware, have tissues on hand. The last episode is a bit of a weepy one.
And, when Edward and his wife Victoria announce their pregnancy to Charlotte, it is of the child Alexandrina, who went on to become Queen Victoria.
