CF S4 was probably the weakest in the series so far imo.

I don't watch it with a critical eye, but the contrast between the Jeremy in the first part of the series and the latter part did not end it on a positive note for me.

I've met more than my fair share of industrial sales reps, and many are nice guys, but if I was one who took part in that tractor charade, I'd be miffed at least.

I'd welcome seeing more of Harriet, or others telling Jeremy that's he's full of it sometimes. Even Charlie is being painted as more neutered compared to before.

I watched Untamed and hated it: another pointless soap family drama, I never understood how this attracts audiences and it has been done a thousand times. Yosemite is nice to see but a documentary would have been more interesting than this drama.

Acting was bad and the writing worst.

Apparently you are not alone in hating it ... "Reviews have been mixed, though, and one particular group of critics is especially appalled: The people who know the most about Yosemite."

"Why claim Yosemite as your setting ... then feature almost none of it"

I am not sure if I’ve been to Yosemite, but I think I went to see the big sequoias but not further. It was a long time ago.

Always loved the Natural Parks in the US, my favourite was Monument Valley.

I can see where they're coming from, but shooting on location is costly, and difficult, especially in a public park owned by the Feds. In practice, productions are shot in different places than they're set most of the time. Especially if there are government incentives to be had.

If they had shot at Yosemite, I don't think it's a stretch to say that another faction would be howling over film crews, equipment, and closures interfering with their enjoyment of the park, and being antithetical to their purpose as natural public park lands.

The valley floor, which could be characterized as overdeveloped to begin with, might be ok, but it would probably be disruptive in the areas that are more natural.

These aren't reality shows, and even those that are categorized as reality are also scripted to a degree.

We've been binging on Bosch lately (and plan to continue with Legacy and Ballard season 1).

Not that long ago I watched the Wire for the first time ever (I know, I know) and with Lance Reddick playing a very similar role it somehow got me comparing Bosch to The Wire as I've watched Bosch. Now, The Wire was...OK, not the god-tier show it's hyped up to be, and IMHO Bosch is a much, much better show, in almost every way (I only miss Idriss Elba).

The only (American) crime drama that I can think of, that's better than Bosch, is the original Justified series** that we also binged not that long ago (and that's mainly down to the acting of and chemistry between Timothy Olyphant and Walter Goggins, which was just sublime).

** Let's forget Justified: City Primeval for now... ;)

We watched Ballard first, and now watching Bosch. Will do Legacy next.

Up to season 8 on a rewatch binge of 24. Always good to refuel on some Jack Bauer every few years. Followed a rewatch of Eureka. These two plus Alias and Spooks are my comfort rewatches.

I forced my way through season 1 of 24, but it just didn't "click". Never got beyond S2E1.
Was that when it originally aired or later on streaming? That’s like me and The White Lotus, though at least you made it through one season; I gave up that one on episode 4 when I finally got around to watching it recently.

It was streaming, but many years ago. I might try it again some day, but I have a long list of stuff queued up, so it won't be for a few years.

We are on episode five and I don't think we will be coming back to it. It did get a second season though...

This is not exactly a TV show but a web series. I have been watching it for a few years on Youtube till they moved to their own paid platform. The show is called On Cinema. You might recognize the main character who plays a version of himself Tim Heidecker. It is hard to describe the show really, I can't get enough of it. Each season has a slow building story for Tim who keeps getting into weird things from religion to health stuff. Very little actual movie reviews as it seems everything else going on in Tim's life takes precedence much to the chagrin of his co-host and self proclaimed movie expert Gregg Turkington. They also do Oscar specials and other things as well. There is a whole universe around these characters now. Quick way for great laughs, till you get hooked then it is binge watching. It was originally a podcast, I did not learn that till very recently so have not touched those yet.

They get better as they go. I am on season 15 and laughing more and more then I did in the beginning.

Season 1 Episode 1.

Someone put together this site to keep the whole series in order:

Bosch is one of my favorites and yes the books are just as good. Finished season one of Ballard... I am in.

The Wire is one of my favorite series... Of all time.

Justified... yes, yes, and yes!

If you haven't already, watch the limited series on HBO "We Own This City". The guys from the Wire are part of this too. Based on a true story and boy, it is good.
