Butterfly on Prime Video. One episode left (of six). Piper Perabo plays a baddie spy this time.

An ok summer diversion but keep your expectations in check. And nice to see it was shot on location in S. Korea.

I thoroughly enjoyed Butterfly. DDK is a great actor, and even though this action roll is a bit of a stretch for him, I thought he did a great job.

The ending kind of ticked me off only because I know it's going to be a long time (probably a year) before the next season drops (if it even gets renewed by Prime).

I also started Butterfly and now I understand what is “daddy issues” when looking at Rebecca.

I’m halfway, it’s a mix of classic trop spy but too much family drama (bonus point: both on the baddies & goodies side).

I always started to hate-watch the new season of Invasion, I had a good laugh. Looks like acting is getting worst, no?

Just finished the 3 seasons of Hightown which has been canceled. Interesting but plodding, and the final episode successfully ended several plot threads but left open others. I really liked Osito’s portrayal, thought Renee Segna’s role though large throughout the series went off the rails in the last few episodes as she became much weaker. I did enjoy Riley Voelkel’s performance of Renee however.

Just started The Pitt on hbomax. pretty solid.

Just finished season 3 of Fisk. Brilliant. And, sadly, I'm assuming it will not have a season 4... :(

Where is Fisk S3 streaming? Last time I checked, it wasn’t available anywhere.

I like Jin DDK as well. He was part of the reason I started to watch The Hot Zone miniseries from a few years ago, but I never finished it.

The cliffhanger was only a mild surprise, given the unsubtle, and sometimes clumsy writing overall, but as I said, expectations for a Summer diversion were low, and I'd still check out S2 of it happens.

"A" for effort. "C" for execution.

The young actress who plays Rebecca did what she could with what she was given, which wasn't all good, but also displayed her own lack of experience.

The 1980s Super Mario show. We watch a couple episodes while I get the boys ready for school/daycare each morning. We are currently memorizing the hiphop intro song.

I just finish binge watching Solo Leveling.

Nice artwork and lots of action. If you liked Sword Art Online or Hunter X Hunter, this show might be up your alley. I enjoyed it, but found the plot heavily reliant on Dues Ex Machina🫤--which if you've read the comic, would know it's because of the System.. And the title makes no sense, due to bad translation. You Spoony Bard! The original title was "Only I Level" which makes sense because only the MC levels up ie gets stronger. My daughter, the other otaku in the family, likes it.

The MC is way, way over powered by the end of season 2.😑 It reminded me of my avatar in the ancient MUD (Multi-User Dungeons) I used to play in college. In the MUD I played, once you reach level 90 (Immortal), you can "remort" (become mortal again) or return to level 2 with enhanced stats and one skill set to 98% (normally 95% or 85% is the max). Well, my avatar remorted over 100x and had every skill in the game, even monsters only skills.

Yup, great animation and a banger soundtrack as well but it got a bit ehhh repetitive and lacked tension by season 2. I am have started Delicious in Dungeon which is different and quite humorous.

With the Foundation season ending soon and Alien Earth halfway through, I've started Battlestar Galactica to fill the void.

Watched the first part of the initial miniseries last night.

I finished off Wednesday last week. Good second season but it felt a little overstuffed. I still have a few shows I would like to see before I have to get back into Stranger Things and Fallout. Might give Penguin a watch finally, since one of the reasons I resubscribed to HBO Max this year was to see that show.

Adolescence, just finished in two days.’

That ending was so heartbreaking 💔 for me, tears were flowing. Fantastic show and understand the Emmy hype

During my recent free Apple TV three month subscription I binged the entire series of Friends and Neighbors, Severance and Ted Lasso. The result ... I needed a long rest from binging.

Only heard about this about recently. I've really enjoyed it. It's a little slow in the beginning and takes a while to take off. Season 2 is coming.
