I too thought it was very good. I wish the episode didn't have to end like that, but looking forward to next week.
The ending was a very good hook to get the viewer to watch the next episode. I get what you mean, though. Not knowing is like an itch you can’t scratch right away.

It's the cliffhanger troupe of Arc based shows. It happens all the time, but with tonights episode it moved really fast and the storyline with the Baby was just heartbreaking.

Found an episode of Derrick I had not seen, "Das Alibi" - Aug 20, 1982.

Harry Klein on his way home from work finds a confused and scared girl. He tries to assist but she refuses help. He returns next morning to check on her. When he and the land-lady cannot reach her, he breaks in to her room and they discover a gruesome scene, the girl (Martina Busse) is dead.

The musical theme in this one is great, it seems to be a derivative of Frank Duval's "Raising The Level" but slightly different.

The theme of the episode is "rache" (or revenge).

I just started Record of Ragnarok.

Man vs God in a best of 13 tourney to determine the future of mankind. Fun premise. Nice art, WWE spectacle, but almost zero story line. The fighting is typical shonen anime eg. fights that last multiple episodes and seemingly defeated characters unlock hidden power ups.🤓

If you're a fan of 90's fighting games like Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Mortal Combat, you might find it entertaining for awhile. If you're a fan of mythology, history or heroes of yore, you're going to hate this show. They take extreme liberties with the backstories of the gods and heroes.

It's a train wreck of a show, but I can't stop watching it. So much fan service for Shonen Jump fans. Zeus is a carbon copy of Muten Roshi of Dragonballz fame. Both are lecherous, which is inline with mythology Zeus👍. Both are scrawny old men in their base form, but are outrageously ripped and buff in their powered up form.
Trainwreck is the best description of this show. That said, I enjoyed the **** out of just how ******* crazy it would get.

Definite 8.5/10

Started season 6 of Jack Bauer but after s05, it’s not the same. I’ve heard they are waiting for the green light of Disney to start shooting a new season. I hope it goes through. Best TV show ever made.

Alien: Earth. A bit of a slow start, but got better, especially Deputy U.S Marshall Kirsh, and that wicked eyeball.

Industry, before the new season. A soap opera with many unpleasant people, but set in the high-finance world.

Have really enjoyed Season 2 and the innovative ways new challenges are designed. Watched s02e10 last night and surprised to learn e11 and e12 to be released tonight, and the presumably final e13 not available until Jan 13. Didn’t even learn if Culinary Monster won or lost his challenge.

I'm relatively new to the show, but like earnestness of the competitors. Egos, yes, but none of the phony bluster seen in American reality cooking shows. And the production values are clearly very high.

Indeed. There appears to be a huge amount of money spent on producing this show. The raw foods are expensive items in superabundance, the dozens of movable rotating cooking stations with gas/water/drain lines, light shows, remote-controlled track cameras, etc., just a wow factor certainly and nothing that doesn’t work properly.

I feel badly for the two judges who eat large mouthfuls of EVERY SINGLE DISH and (a) do not appear to get sick and (b) remain objective to the very last one.

Alien earth was good, but I think there wasn’t quite enough going on early on.

Likely to be some sort connection between the large portions and popularity of mukbang videos.

A lot of world building to be done, especially at the beginning. It would be fair to call the entire first season a world building exercise. Good thing the show was renewed.

Hawley's one of those guys whose stuff is usually worth checking out. Never really got into Fargo, but will try harder at some point, and did like Legion.

I like being in the Alien universe, but IMO based on the more recent offerings, the bar isn't particularly high, making it easier for the TV show. Romulus did well at the box office, so I guess a sequel was greenlit.

Dead Like Me

I smell waffles.

Between Fuller and Patinkin, two people who aren't afraid to lob grenades at bridges they've crossed, it must have been an interesting set, at least for the first season.

But both are talented, which is why they still find work despite their reputations.

If you haven't seen them, consider Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies as chasers.

Yes, I've watched Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies. They have my highest recommendation.

Followed by Hannibal. A show which had no business being on network TV, but I'm glad NBC was willing to foot the bill for what we got. The principals talk like they'd like to get together and do more, if someone would pay for it, so maybe some day.

I'm still watching Castle and loving it. It's an old show, 2009 - 2016 but it's a real TV series and not this 6 to 10 episode junk they're doing now. The seasons have 23-24 episodes a season which gives them incredible time for character development...
Castle is my all-time fav network TV show, others not even close. Despite the supposed angst between the lead stars during the last season(s), the on-screen work was masterful for me. Nathan Fillion is doing ok in The Rookie and Stana Katic to the lead in Absentia. We never got past the 1st season of Absentia though; every episode unearthed yet another reason for her discomfort and jeopardy, and it got to be a huge downer.

Just finished all 7 seasons of Buffy the vampire slayer. Wasn't the worst show I've seen, a lot of corny writing but pleasant enough.

Just started Hi/Jack on Apple, mostly thru the first season. really good, looking forward to season 2

Last evening watching amazon prime, we finished the series finale of Sue Thomas: FBIEye and sorry there weren’t more. And the actual Sue Thomas on whom the series is based appeared in the finale. Sadly she passed in 2022 at 72. In the “up next” portion of the screen during the closing credits was S1E1 of none other than Castle. So for grins and chucks we watched it (again) and thoroughly enjoyed it. We may put the 8-season series back into rotation again.

IMO, Kate Beckett is Stana Katic’s best role to date, and I can’t imagine another actor playing the part as well, comfortably, or flawlessly. Her facial expressions are killer, especially showing exasperation at some bone-headed thought or action by Rick Castle in their work together.

Locking forward to se s2, if and when it comes, of Sherlocks Daughter. Most points that ir will come, but we'll see it when it happens.
I really liked it - 5/5
I had to pause and then rewatch it from the beginning, as I didn't want to miss any important details.
