Which TV Series Are You Binging On?

The EweTube Al Gore Rhythm has decided I need to watch a bunch of Shorts from Star Trek, TOS. They've been fun, but a lot of the scenes I just didn't remember; there's also a couple shows I know I'd missed. So, I asked AppleTV to play Star Trek, and it hooked me up to the originals! The episode featured the aliens that had huge, pulsating heads, and I could've sworn it was a two-parter when I saw it the first time (I was six!) That episode must've been one of the pilots; Nimoy was the Science officer but none of the other actors I recognized (Shatner may have been one of the security detail, wish I'd backed it up to look again).
Episode finished, then I learn I could pay to see the remaining episodes on Paramount+. They made me sit thru commercials, and they're still asking for more money on a 60-year-old low budget TV series?!? I would've thought they would be Public Domain by now; the unmitigated greed of the oligarchs never fails to amaze me.
Some interesting notes about the pilot: women were still in a bit of a subservient role on that episode. Spock broke out in a big smile when seeing the musical plants. The rocks on the planet sure looked like shapes with plastic garbage bags draped over them (did we even have garbage bags in the mid-Sixties?) When the Enterprise flew past the camera in the show opening, the sound it made was definitely the sound the automatic doors made when opening/closing, just with the tape slowed down a bit!
 
Cape Fear is bad…I think I will give it up. I just find it ridiculous that Max always pop up everywhere just like that.

I found a good show, Alice and Steve. I strongly recommend it. Not hilarious but fun

OMG - that's a blast from the past! I can hear the theme tune now along with the irresistible urge to put on a polo neck, leather jacket and jump over the bonnet of a Ford Capri...

If you're a fan of Baki the Grappler, Kengan should be right up your alley. The animation is 2D/3D mashup that works surprisingly well since the character fighting movement is more realistic if a bit exaggerated. If you watch a lot of real life martial arts, 'rasslin', UFC, 70's kung fu and street fights, you should be able the stomach the over the top violence. If you squint real hard, you might even see the plot.😁

The ridiculous and over the top fighting I can believe. Years of watching wuxia, fighting anime, DC/Marvel, and playing Street Fighter/Tekken/DOA has conditioned me to accept the impossible in fighting.😉 What I can't figure out is how the hikikomori (shut-in) son of the doormat middle manager became a corporate kingpin controlling things from the shadows.🤔

Kengan is highly rated (7.9/10🤯) on IMDb, but I think the rating is skewed due to being of interest to a very select subset of viewers. With my broader interests, I'd rate it at 5/10, with a huge deduction for lack of story. The fighting sequences is 10/10.
