White iPhone 4 DELAYED. Officially

More or less. They did mess up with the displays on the latest 27'' iMac for awhile when it was first launched, but other than that, you're right. The antenna issue is in fact not unique to the iPhone 4, I make my palm phone go from 5 bars to 1 bar easily in weak signal areas, just like the iPhone 4. I hate to say it, and I may be called a "fanboi" for saying it, but steve jobs was right. Live with it. There is no solid data that says that this problem is unique to the iPhone 4, and until there is, I'll be getting one in august, when my sprint contract runs out...

There is no way Apple would change the design with JUST the white iPhone 4. They'd do both at the same time. I don't see then changing design until iPhone 5.

I still do not understand what the challenge is in building a White iPhone, I mean really coloring the glass?
So who will get a white iPhone 4 when the white iPhone 5 will, at that point, be 6 months away? LOL.

Perspective, people, perspective. Waking up to the news that someone close to you has died, that would be an awful thing. Get a grip, please!
This is literally a cosmetic issue. You can still get an iPhone 4 (which, with a bumper, has WAY better reception than 3GS). I'm super happy with it.
White phones are lame (and girlie) anyway. Apple needs to stop with the multi-color phone nonsense.

Maybe this is better. Getting the product refined Painting glass is not that easy. Black iPhone glass doesn't need paint, the white one does because of the front cam, sensors and other stuff that's normally black...

Have you seen how ugly white iPhone 4's are? The sensors and cameras look out of place. The reality is that only a small number of people are affected.. And there is nothing apple can do. Designing the iPhone 4 to look right with a white housing is proving to be more difficult to make.

You simply cannot screen print to the nth degee of specification that is required so that all the phones are the same colour, and I guess match all of the plastic docks etc.
Everyone just step back from the keyboard for a second and think about it... most of us are guilty...
Agonize over white or black. Then spend even more of our valuable time looking for the case we like to cover it all up.
