White iPhone 4 Delayed Once Again Until Spring 2011

It's something Apple would never do. People would be complaining so much because their color of choice would not be available with their carrier. Hopefully they start to mass produce the iPhone 5 way before the usual time period. Can you imagine supplying iPhones for different carriers? There would be a mass shortage of iPhones no doubt.

I'm guessing that this is the mid life version of the iPhone 4 with bumped specs and different colours, including white. No point in releasing the white iPhone with the same specs when that's around the time the upgrade would be announced.

It seems like there probably never will be a white iPhone 4 available. Maybe a white iPhone 5, if we're lucky...
Apples best bet would be to wait for the iPhone 5 because at this rate thats about the time they will figure out the color matching issue.

I think they'd have been better off coming out and saying that "after the delays, we're sorry but the white iPhone 4 will not be available after all." This way they can let go of trying to make it and dragging the holdouts along further. Then focus more on the iPhone 5 and then hopefully have the issues surrounding the white model worked out and be able to launch a black and white iPhone 5 on the same day.

Can you imagine the collector value of a WHITE iPhone 4? There ARE a few in circulation. Likely under a hundred.
This doesn't line up correctly. Why did pre-orders show up in the Apple Store application.
I'm waiting for the apple PR statement on this to fully believe it. Like the last statement. Why would they delay it until Spring? and not summer? unless they are perhaps moving the iPhone date up because Lion is coming out summer.

I agree. They're getting some bad press right now over this, but if they said screw it let's release anyway with a less than stellar product, they'd really get a ton of bad press. It's the lessor of two evils.
I say kudos to Apple for delaying the white one when it wasn't ready. It's not like they didn't want to have it as perfect as it could be and sell it, but obviously some problem(s) are preventing them from doing so.

I held off until my contract was up with Verizon and I did like the white iPhone but damn, I'm not waiting any longer let alone my current phone is about shot so either I pony up and get a black iPhone or (shudders) I get a Droid 
They just need to admit they can't do white on this glass and that maybe white will come out next year. Apple isn't perfect and they have messed up. Time to admit it, be happy with black and move on.

Apple really screwed up on this one, I was undecided between the white and black and decided to wait so I could see both in person. apparently I have some will power because here I am still waiting...
I had already decided I would just wait till iphone 5 before this and this is just the nail in the coffin. Apple lost out on some money, at this point i'm running a beat up 3g and I've contemplated looking at an android!! this could all have been prevented apple!!
