White iPhone 4 Delays Due to Light Leakage?

It doesn't look like the white iPhone will ever come out. It's a shame too because it's just so pretty and it reminds me of the original iPod, you know the device that saved Apple.
 
Get rid of the glass backing... make it plastic or some type of tough carbon. Problem solved.
 
I got ordered a black iphone the day after the (latest) delay was announced. I got it today and I can't bring myself to open it! I really want the white and may wait to see if any news pops up in the next 30 days. If I end up opening it, I will keep it.
 
The iPhone 4 was launched today by T-Mobile (UK) in the United Kingdom. Available in 16 and 32 GB. The British people simple went crazy taking them today. :D
 
White phone conspiracy theory

Just putting this out there, see what you think. I'd expect Apple to sell 2/3's black iPhones and 1/3 white. The exact proportion's not really important, but say you had a hugely popular product you wanted to get out there while struggling with manufacturing constraints. It would be handy to keep a portion of the fan base, say those wanting the white iPhone, waiting while they serviced the supply of the black iphone - after-all the innards are the same. Keeping those wanting the white iphone waiting also serves to extend the anticipation and expectation period longer. Just a thought…

Really? You just compared the white iphone to the model t? It isn't even a comparison. You can't compare one of the first, affordable cars to a smart phone. Especially one that is in the 4th generation amidst the great technology of today.
 
Now that Apple have kept me waiting 6 months for a white iPhone 4, when (and if) it does come out, it had better be improved or offer better value over the launch model.

And by that i mean either a reduction in price or an increase in storage - otherwise I will be waiting another 6 months for the iPhone 5!

If they just 'fix' the antenna problems, which to me are not really an issue, it is not good enough to justify buying the white product mid-cycle. Apple will loose out on a sale this year from me unless they have a carrot up their sleeves.

Otherwise, come June/July 2011 I would prefer to buy the latest iPhone model and whatever colour is available. I am not waiting again for colours that are not available at launch time - Apple has proven to be extremely unreliable at delivering on their promises.

I wholeheartedly agree. Just the exact same but white phone option against the same price for me is an unacceptable option half a year later. That would be a rather shameless "screw you but thanks for your money".
I expect either a drop in price or increase in storage against the same price. Hopefully, but doubtful, they offer a structural fix to the antenna issues as well with the update. It's likely we'll also see universal micro-usb compatability in line with EU law kicking in next year.

I have a feeling you two are in for a big dissapointment. the thing with Apple is that for everybody that feels this way there are a 100 people who dont care and will line up to buy the white iphone at the same price and with the same features, even if its mid-cycle.... so you see Apple has no reason to offer anything extra when the demand is going to be there anyway.

Yes, i know it in my heart of hearts. :mad: Bitter disappointment for us both!

The other concern that I have is that if I waited until the iPhone 5 next year, what possible features could they add to make it worth the wait. Its pretty much got everything I want right now. Just not in the right colour - LOL.
 
leakage? is the iphone LED BACKLIT? or is it LED SIDE-LIT?

oh well dont matter to me, my super amoled phone slaughters the iphone display
