Wow... That's a little expensive for a case...

Considering you could get 5 back replacements or 75% of an out of warranty repair (or new phone) for the same price, I tend to agree with you.

I've had a case on my white iPhone 4 since day one, and I'm happy to say that there is no discoloration of any sort on my phone, and it's quite clean.

The edges (the matted white rim) does get dirty if you don't put some kind of case on it. I have no problem with this as my case protects it. White is fresh :)

No offense but that case/bumper is fugly. Ok, just saw you paid 150 for a metal bumper. People have more money than common sense these days. Wow, that's unbelievable.

i've had my white iphone for about 2 weeks now and i too have noticed the dirt on the plastic rim of the phone. the white glass parts itself does not get dirty at all but the plastic rim is where it gathers dirt/black spots.

i've had a bumper on for the first week and an incase snap for the second week.

Okay, I obviously don't get it.
Someone needs to explain this madness to me.
WHHHYYYYYY????
I can explain it quite simply...it's a luxury item that looks great on the phone. Is it for everybody? At $150, obviously not...but if you have some extra jack laying around and want something really cool, then that's why you would do it.

No one is saying that this is a "need" thing...it's clearly in the frivolous category. I knew I was paying more than I had to for a case, but I'm able to do it and I like the metal bumper. Like I said, I totally understand someone not willing to do this.

So let me get this straight:

A white car shows dirt easier & it's hard to maintain clean
A white polo/shirt shows dirt/lint/stains easier
A white iPhone shows dirt/lint easier

Uhmmm - duh (get a grip)!

Just so you know the way I feel, that's like me telling you that I paid $50 for a paperclip.

Anyways, what ever works for you :)

I guess you are missing my point. It's a luxury item...an extra...something you don't need, but if you have the means, might be cool. Surely you get that, don't you?

No, I get it! Haha I'm just saying that for me, it's almost as you useless as you buying a $50 paperclip.

Cool that you have one though. I could just think of better ways to spend $150. But at that price, I'm not even sure if it's worth protecting your phone considering you could just a get a replacement.

I have some dirt between the home button edges but oh well, the phone still works and that is all that matters to me right now.

i dont see how yours is getting so dirty to be bothersome, you must be doing something wrong? Do you take it with you to your job in the oil fields?

I've had mine, naked, for about a month now and its never gotten noticeably dirty.

I don't understand the hating on the poster with the element case - its pretty sweet. Is it overpriced? Sure, but what does that matter? They liked it, they could afford it, its pretty cool and they bought it.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to troll an internet forum and try to make others feel bad because you have a different opinion?

Aww, that sucks!

I've had mine for over a month now & I've kept it clean without any effort/cases... I wipe it off daily, thats it.

Not to belabor the point, but you still aren't getting it. I didn't necessarily buy it to "protect" the phone...I bought it because I think it's a great looking case.

I'm sure you've spent money on things that I wouldn't, I don't begrudge you for that.

This is a Mac forum and I think it's a cool, albeit expensive, accessory to the iPhone, so I chipped in a comment about my experience with it.

Like I said before...I wouldn't save up my money to buy one...I just said that if you have some expendable income, it's a really cool accessory, that's all.

Still beautiful :p! I've not noticed the problem though I wish it was glossier...my black iPhone 4's back was like mirror  I wish I could gloss it up a bit! Haha.

If you have enough Apple products somewhere down the line you've probably (no you have) spent money on something not needed but made something totally cool :D :D

Sorry, I don't get it. If that thing was 50.00 it would still be over priced. Seems like a huge waste of money but I get people like blowing money on totally fivilous things for the sake of getting attention.
