White or Black? Pros and Cons

This is pretty funny.I think white calls way too much attention. Wanna see how cool it looks while you hold it in your ear? pretend a mighty mouse is a phone, put it up to your ear and look at yourself in the mirror.
Ridiculous enough? Black is the answer
Plus the front is black, a white back? talk about a bit too much contrast, its an iphone not a giant hybrid domino piece
I will have to see the white to be believe the hype. If it blows me a way, I'll get it. Otherwise, I'm going with the black. Still trying to decide on whether to get the 8 or 16.

There's no way the iPhone will sell more than the RAZR. In the RAZR's first year it sold 23 million units world wide...23 million. As it stands now the RAZR has sold over 50 million units...that's insane for a phone. Apple goal is for 10 million units sold in 2008.
Honestly, comparing iPhone sales to RAZR sales would be like comparing Mac sales to Dell PC sales...the cheep inferior product will always win the numbers game.
Apple doesn't want to sell the most phones out of anyone. They want to make money to satisfy the stock holders. And (if we want to give them the benefit of the doubt) they want to change the way cell phones are treated and created to make our lives better and simpler.

every ipod up until the most current: white
all the old iMacs except the colored ones which became eMacs: white
iBook and MacBook: white
and look at the computers and mp3 players competing
sony vaios:black
dells: black (the cheap ones that just about everyone has)
most mp3 players:black
most cellphones:black
these companies have just recently started expanding into different color options
but apple was always white and it set them apart, made them unique
i see them going to black as almost saying: you were right, we were wrong. were gonna do it your way now

I had to order an iPhone 3G since my AT&T store sold out and I ordered a Black 16 GB. Now I think I want the white!! Has anyone else changed their mind and was able to change their order???
Both look good to me, but I went with white after seeing them in person. I think it's a matter of preference rather than a pro/con thing.
After alot of contemplating, I feel that the black is the way to go.
The iPhone in white looks awkward at times depending on how you hold it. The black front and chrome and white aren't the best match. The black looks very sleek and I didn't even notice smudges on the back of the iPhone I used.

At WWDC I was pretty convinced that if I decided to upgrade, I'd go for the 16GB black.
But after finally seeing the white in person, it does look great. I don't know why people want to associate it with a certain gender. Don't many of us use white mice and white cables and white docks?

That's how I feel. I'm not liking the switch to aluminum. I have the white iPod, the white iBook, and several other white Apple accessories, and I don't like the fact that when I next update, white won't be an option.
I'm planning on getting a white iPhone after the hype cools down (and my Verizon contract is over). And that may be the last white
product I can buy. White for the win obviously. It is the color of choice for apple and just like the macbooks after using it for a 3 months it will start turning yellow and then it will match the screen!
correction, the white is available from Apple stores in the west mids. My friend picked one up yesterday!
Most of the girls I saw had black and most guys had white... it's all personal taste and personally I like the white. Plus I'm secure in my manhood so just because someone thinks it looks feminine... doesn't matter to me.
