I hope I get lucky, the size on this 7 is a deal breaker for me. Every where I've called this afternoon is out though.
Pre ordered the black 7+ 128gb on the 9th in store at sprint and was told it would be here the 16th. went to the store today and was told that my phone wouldn't be here till October 10th at the earliest.
Damn that's crazy. I actually read about a couple stores that had plus models for walk ins today but none anywhere near me or my carrier.
I hate to say it, but our high traffic AT&T corporate store in a Dallas suburb had Pluses. I think around 15 or maybe 20 (there were 20 ppl in line at 8am, and no one looked bummed after filling out a phone request form). There were no black or jet black Pluses though. Mostly gold and rose gold. No 32 gig models in plus size either.
Been reading this thread since last night & just signed up to post this. I'm in KCMO and camped out unsuccessfully As no ATT stores in the area had them at all today. Slept til 2pm got word that NEBRASKA FURNITURE MART had them on hand, and to my surprise they had every phone color 7, and 7+. For all carriers except Verizon in every storage size. Even Jet Black..... by the time i left at 5pm they still had 150+ phones. So idk if NFM is located anywhere else but if your area has one I'd go see them.
I ended up just ordering a 7+ online through the iPhone Upgrade Program. I went to two AT&T stores today and lost a lot of sleep to walk away with nothing. I will still check around to see if I can get one in person but right now I am not worried.
I found a couple stores yesterday that had gotten shipments of a couple more. No plus models though. I wonder since it seems apple had some stock of plus models today if carrier stores will starting getting some this week?
Good luck to everyone trying to get a plus model. In my opinion seems to me like it's borderline epic fail by Apple as far as not having enough plus model stock to go around. I myself have a 7, but just read my last post in this thread about my local VZW
I gave up my search today and just ordered one. Not my preferred color or size but at least it'll get here sooner rather than later. It's going in a case anyways so I wasn't picky. I was hoping to find one in store but that seems impossible.
Maybe. I don't use the iPhone's camera though except taking photos of beer for Untappd. I have my 5D for that which is with me everywhere. I also don't type on the iPhone. It's just for receiving calls and getting emails. I use the iPad at night for AirPlay YouTube to my television, reading RSS feeds and the newspaper. The iPhone is docked in my car for CarPlay, docked at work and I use my MacBook and then goes on a dock at night next to my iMac in my bedroom until the next day. I actually have a land-line for home-calls.
My use of the iPhone is next to nothing. Even when I'm traveling, I listen to music on my iPod but I'm hoping 256GB iPhone helps me free myself of having to carry that extra device around.
What would have happened by going 7 Plus would be I'd have to get a new iPhone dock @ work, new dock on my motorcycle, my car and buy a larger array of cases. I think ti's a gift that the Plus continues to be unavailable on launch day.
So has anyone had success at finding any Plus models at their carrier stores (more specifically Verizon)?
I called my 2 local Verizon stores today. Big corporate store said they haven't seen any +'s yet. The smaller Verizon annex type store said they won't get their first shipment til Oct 12.
Again I'm kinda baffled by how some places give exact info and other places claim not to know anything. You think it would be the other way around with the big corporate store vs. the smaller one.

Exactly. It's not like by you telling me you're not sure or something that I'm going to come in and buy something else. Just tell me when it's coming so you can have my business.
