Ok, so here my story in a huge nutshell........Went to a VZW cooperate store, I was #1 in line, #2 in line wanted a plus model. When the VZW employees starting handing out voucher with number you were in line there was about maybe 20 people. Now about those voucher, I they each had a number stamped on them so first person in line (me) was given voucher w/ 001, second 002 and so forth. Now on that voucher you put your name, phone, email, and also the model, GB, and color you wanted. In addition it had all of the accessories etc. that they try to sell you with your iPhone. So they even had it to where you can select the plus model even though they did not have any in stock. So I went in purchase my 32GB - 7 - matte black, but the folks that wanted a plus model were told by the employee helping them they had no plus models in stock. Seems to me like it would have made more sense to announce before they handed out vouchers. I mean I would be upset if I wait in line only to find out they have no stock of the product I want. Now I am having trouble restoring my icloud back-up on my new phone lol

I like the way AT&T did it. They had a sign up on the window letting you know what they did and didn't have so you wouldn't waste your time. It seems like store employees would want to do that also, to eliminate dealing with angry and frustrated customers. This happens every year, they should be more organized.

No Apple store where I live. There's a Verizon Wireless store 45 minutes from my house that I go to every year. I was in line at 4AM, all alone until 7AM, no Pluses so I went with a Black, 256GB iPhone. Very happy! In and out by 8:05.

So who's going to stop and see if a drop shipment hits this afternoon ? ;)

I'm going to call around in a bit and see if theres anything
[doublepost=1474040030][/doublepost]Anyone else get lucky grabbing a phone at a carrier store this morning?

Start around 3pm normally for them to go through and receive anything. I'm sure floor is busy at dropoff to process.

3 pm, really? That's later than I thought but I'll give it a shot around then and see if I stop by anywhere after work.

So I was at an at&t store in north Austin number 6 until a family members showed up right before opening and joined the #3 in line making me #8.. Then they just opened the door and my at&t rep was slow so people that were behind me got phones before I did. In the end I did end up with an iPhone 7+ 128gb but in gold. I love the phone enough I guess I'll get over the color.

Maybe where you live. A friend went to the local corporate store here and got in line this morning 2 hours before opening. No sign about inventory. 9 people already in line. About 15 employees showed up 1 hour before opening. 25 minutes before opening they handed out refreshments, wouldn't talk about whats available. At opening they then took people in one at a time and only then did you find out there were NO 7 pluses. Why not put up a big sign saying "NO 7 PLUS"? Because the employees want to get you in the door and get you to order through them.

Wouldn't buy what I didn't want, just to get one.

Didn't get an update on inventory from the store I was waiting at until about 5 minutes before they opened. We asked employees as we saw them coming in and out for at least an update but they wouldn't give us anything either.

At the Verizon Corporate Store in Chandler, AZ there were Zero iPhone 7 +'s so after standing in line from 3:00 AM I got one 7 for one the the that had one on pre-order so just have to wait for the 7+ to come in the mail.

Yes, I braved it and got lucky :) It was an overall good experience. had some great conversation, made jokes, watched a movie or so. Good times!!!

Got my 128GB Black iPhone 7. The experience this time around was much more pleasant than the previous time I waited in line. I will say that pre-ordering and shipping to a UPS pickup location is the way to go. I did that for the 6 and it was a smooth process.

If anyone is braving the stores today, Verizon is selling the Beat2 wireless for $99. That's a pretty solid deal, even cheaper than Apple's airpods will be.

I was thinking of looking for the wife but at this point im sure all the 7's are sold

The stores that do have inventory seem to primarily have 7s so you might get lucky.

I just called the AT&T stores near me and they all told me that their next shipment of 7+'S isn't until November...I would hate to believe that...

well my 5s was on its last leg and the only thing I was going to walk away from was the 32gb. Gold was my second choice so i think it turned out great.

I was told that at T-mobile this morning too...

Carriers are probably just saying what they are getting from Apple. There's no way it will take nearly 2 months for Apple to produce enough phones. Isn't their capacity over 500k a day?
