Some of you are freaking insane with a dash of hospital grade OCD.

I just took my air out of the box, did a 5 minute inspection and I am good to go.

As long as there isn't a defect that I can notice under normal use, why do I need "more"?

Will you really use your iPad under the extreme conditions that you use to test? No. And if you do, you may need something other than a tablet....

Ah, but if you found something amiss during your 5 minute inspection, what would that make you? Semi OCD? And what of this 5 minute inspection? That's a mighty long time to peruse a flat rectangle looking for flaws don't ya think? ;)

For the record, my 1/2 pink screen took all of about 5 seconds to notice.

From what I can tell mine is perfect, though I didn't specifically go looking for flaws. But no dings or scratches and the screen is great. :)

Hahahahahaha!! I love that line!

I havent noticed anything and just for fun I tried to find the problems people have been talking about with the screen but haven't noticed anything. Not that I would care too much if I did.

Mine is perfect. I checked for dings, yellowing/pink, dead pixels, light bleed and all is well :)

Coming from an iPad 3/Mini combo (selling both). Did consider a rMini for a long time, but I just *enjoy* using the bigger iPad a lot more than the smaller one and the Air is best of both worlds for me. I only wanted one iPad, sick of syncing/ updating* two (1st world prob) and deciding which games to put on each one (those with no iCloud syncing), and decided if I'm going with one, go with the one I enjoy more. The only downside for me is that Air doesn't fit in my coat pocket, heyho.

*I choose not to auto update, been burnt in the past with buggy/non working updates

mine

is the tits. loving it no issues if I did I would not think twice about exchanging it. all have nice return policies even the box stores now

Haha losers. If you can't find something to throw a hissy fit over, you're missing out on the EXPERIENCE.

Just found a little group of dead pixels on my iPad air :(

Going to exchange it.

OH GOD THERES A BIT OF YELLOWING ON THE LEFT SIDE! which I had to open up an all white screen and inspect closely to notice.

Just got a new wifi iPad from Apple Store this morning. Space grey. Inspected entire outside, can't find even a minor flaw.

Just ran some simple pixel tests. Also looked for any screen artifacts, lines, etc. I saw absolutely nothing.

So my experience is, a near-flawless device, after purposefully looking for flaws. Seeing none, I'll happily use this nice iPad for many years to come.

Also, great size and weight, the wifi is very good, screen looks sharp. Pleased.

Mine is perfect this time. When I got the mini there was some drama but none so far with the air.

Bought 2 iPads. 1 had uneven backlight on one edge. Exchanged and got a good one. Overall impressed with everything except when watching videos online since the rear facing speakers makes sounds muffled.

It's looking good so far, the screen looks great to me, evenly lit, no discolouration that my ageing eyes can detect. No stuck/dead pixels, either.

I did have to exchange my first Air though. I bought it at John Lewis and inspected it in store. There were two sizeable dings in the rear of the case. A manager checked it and agreed to a replacement immediately. They'd run out of slate grey so I had to go with white (not that colours really bother me.)

I'm very happy with it, I also picked up a new 5s today so my bank balance is looking a little worse for wear! :D

LOL! Same here, man. Same here.

I can't see anything wrong with mine or the one I purchased for my wife. All is good.
