I find that when I drop my phone I try to catch it with my foot and slow the impact on the ground. Not sure if this actually helps but it seems to have worked for me in the past. Anyone else do this or am I crazy?

Haha you're not crazy..Well you are if you kick it while its falling but I'm pretty sure you're not doing that hahaha:rolleyes:

I'm not a paranoid but also have never dropped any of my gadgets before. Guess I've got good reflexes or whatever it is. My mom and sister on the other hand will drop their phones daily.

Anything that slows the impact must help. I must be ultra careful, or very lucky....I have never dropped my phones / Notebooks, anything. I'm also careful not to put them anywhere a third party might sit / inadvertently move etc. them.

I bet a lotmof accidents occur when people put equipment on charge, and someone comes along and wipes it out by dropping it off a desk etc.

This must be particularly pertinent at this time of year!

Think ahead is what I always say see. *puts cigar in mouth*

Have you dropped it on concrete? did it survive?

Hardwood floor from my nightstand (and from my lap standing up). My Android phone fell out of my hoodie pocket as I was sprinting and it bounced about 15ft along the pavement lol but that's a different story.

I dropped my iPhone 4 because I was trying to make due with an old case I had from my 3 for awhile, until some decent cases came out. Unfortunately the iPhone 4 is much slimmer and the phone slid out falling about 4 feet to a concrete deck where it kind of skipped a time or two.

Surprisingly it survived with only the tiniest sliver of glass missing from the lower left corner on the back. I do mean tiny too, you really had to look for it to notice that it wasn't quite even with the other side. If I hadn't just dropped it, and therefore went looking for any signs of damage, I never would have noticed. Lucky I guess, considering what could have happened.

I have personally never dropped it out of my hands but it has fallen out of my pocket on a road while messing around on my bike and it fell out of my pocket at work on a tile floor, one of the luckiest people alive cause it didnt crack anything :D

Never dropped it, but then again I've only had it for a month. I keep it in a Griffin Survivor case all the time since I'm a bit accident prone as it is.

Wc

My lady dropped her new iphone down the toilet, crazy.
But the chap at apple took pity and gave her a new one.

I use an Xshot case, it's rugged, not slimline but sturdy.
Also has removable clips so you can attach it to a tripod or remove them
if you aren't shooting.

I haven't but it has only been a few months. Why is it relevant? Who does or doesn't drop their iPhone has no bearing on whether or not you will.

i have the new iPhone 4s and i have never dropped it. if you care for your phone the way you should, you should not drop it. in the event i do drop it, i have the griffin armored case on it... the best case in the world for the 4s and i have it, along with the life proof and otter box defender cases. nothing beats the griffin!

I have owned an iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, and now the 4S, and I have not dropped any of them even once. I sold all my previous iPhones on ebay in near mint condition when I was switching to a newer one.

I never drop it any iPhone and i keep my naked,i have the big bulky cases but i do have the insurance just in case

Dropped my iPhone 3G twice in two years, dropped once my iPhone 4 in one and a half year.

I just got my new iPhone 4S one week ago and my girlfriend managed to drop it twice in a week!
