I have NEVER dropped my iPhone.

Not once.

...Of course, I've only had it for two weeks, so we'll see how that works out. ;)

Miss.Manson I dropped mine followed by the awkward kick (as mentioned earier) down a Walmart aisle in Gwinnett County today and drew a horrified look and assistance from a cute girl who had an iPhone as well. That wasn't you was it?? ;)

P.S. no damage. My phone has gotten lots of airtime. The Defender absorbs all.

Being a Marine with an iPhone 4S you'd think that dropping the phone and exposing it to other dangers would be second nature. But I can proudly say that I have protected it since day one, and I have NEVER dropped it (or any other iPhone model that I have owned, since the original one back in '07).

I dropped my iPhone 4S in the cafeteria at my college last semester. It hit the floor and bounced 3 times and landed 5 feet ahead of me. Luckily I had a Speck CandyShell case on it. :D:cool:

I've dropped it once and it didn't crack.

I sat on it once and it cracked. Go figure.

This was on my 3GS, my original iPhone has never been dropped.

I had just gotten my SGP Linear EX Infinity White case the day before. I was snowboarding the day that it happened and had my glove liner's on (The North Face E-Tip gloves) and was making a call when BAM... slipped straight out of my hands. My 4S hit the concrete and made a loud smashing noise against the ground and the new fresh case I had just purchased snapped (but did not break) off. LUCKILY the iPhone nor the case/bumper broke. FIRST time I dropped my iPhone 4S... hopefully the last!! Lesson: put a grippy case on when wearing glove liners otherwise it'll slip right out of your hands.

If someone is using a phone for more than two or three months he/she may drop the phone at least one time.

Unless you constitute the phone falling out of your shorts pocket when getting out of a Corvette, then no. Otherwise I have. Little damage besides the parking lot putting a good surface scrap on the antenna band.

If you don't mind the bulk - I love the Otterbox Defender Series Case - Wonderful for protection and best customer service from any business I have ever dealt with. I almost feel bad, how they have treated me.

I got this yesterday and have to agree from the protection standpoint. But I don't really care for the screen protector. It degrades the beautiful retina display just enough to irritate me. I think I will keep it for trips but just use my phone out of the case for normal day-to-day use.

My iPhone 3GS which my new 4S replaces is in immaculate condition. So nice that I just sent it off to my niece who got her iPhone stolen from school yesterday. It was in a case for a few months but was case-less for most of its life with me--can't remember dropping it.

Before getting my first iPhone last year, I had a very good history in not dropping my phone because I used a lanyard strap on all my other devices. Loop it around your wrist and you're covered. Even if it isn't looped, the lanyard sorta gives you a second chance to catch the phone after it slips.

Of course there is no lanyard through-hole in the iPhone so I'm out of luck there, unless I buy some ugly case that happens to include one.

get an otterbox commuter and don't look back. Protection without too much bulk and covers the charging port and the headphone port.

If you don't mind your phone being triple the size...
Just be careful. I've only ever dropped my phone on carpet.
Ive tried several cases and just can't get past how much bulk even the smallest cases add to it.

commuter. not defender.

This thread is practically inviting people to jinx themselves and drop their undropped phones :)
*knocks on wood*

I am so clumsy it defies belief. I drop everything so I barely let my phone out of my sight just in case. Sometimes I think it would be easier to go back to a £10 phone that didnt matter.
