Well, I was going to say I had just under 30gigs (29.xx) but my computer froze while I was downloading, listening to iTunes, and surfing the web.

To make the story short I lost over 2/3 of my stuff (mostly podcasts)

I'm glade I backed up most of the good songs (ones that I don't have on CD) onto my iPod three weeks ago.

Edit: :)

It's all been restored and recovered.
I have 3360 items, 23.5 days, 29.32gb

9058 items, 33.8 days, 58.43GB

Much of my collection is single file albums, hence the "mere" 9058 items for the larger storage and length values.

I guess some people missed my post where I suggested you only post if your library is larger than the previous poster's. Wouldn't that make sense, given the title of this thread? Just trying to make this thread easier to follow. :)

Start a new thread :) It doesn't kill trees or anything. I got your back if anyone complains.

11484 songs, 37:00:58:14, 85.82GB, 282 Artists, 947 Albums.

That's about, what, 4 minutes 38 seconds as the track average length? I have a lot of Tangerine Dream, but there's also a lot of Misfits, et cetera.

Almost everything is 320kbps MP3, converted from ALAC when I started running out of room.

All my tags are correct, with the original release date (or first performance date, for classical) in the Grouping tag so I can sort by that and play through the history of music (so far, I'm only doing singles for the Rolling Stones and the Beatles). I don't have anything non-classical before 1955 or so. I also don't have any songs that aren't in an album, and I don't have any albums that aren't complete.

1950's -- 96/7:09:44/890.8MB
1960's -- 2260/6:04:55:51/16.12GB
1970's -- 3091/10:09:19:21/24.75GB
1980's -- 1331/3:23:57:46/9.25GB
1990's -- 2967/10:17:47:04/22.13GB
2000's -- 1035/3:09:27:42/7.02GB

I'm very proud of my Doors bootleg collection (22 hours), and a few other things, but there's a lot of stuff I still need to get. My jazz collection is very limited, as is my classical, and I have practically nothing from before 1960. I need to complete my Plastikman collection.

Et cetera. I could talk about my music collection all day.

I encode all of my tracks at 64kbps mp3 quality. Good enough to allow me to include all my CD's I own so far. :D

16825 songs, 46.2 days, 34.06 GB

17748 songs, 49.7 days, 36.47 GB

16 days, 50Gb on an external drive. I'm pretty sure I'll never hear the same song twice during any party shuffle session. Mostly house music, techno, trance, alternative. A little rock & christian, one country song! (Devil went down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band)

Current library size...

62,667 files

172 days, 274.24 Gig's

Includes 0 Podcasts
Includes 127 videos
Includes every song in Billboard Top 40 through 2003
Includes every song (but one) in Songs & Artists 2006

Help me find that one song... Marilyn Maye
