After going back and forth about returning the 12P, I’ve finally decided to keep it.
I love the smaller form factor and lighter weight compared to the 11PM. It’s easy to use with one hand and handling is a lot more enjoyable.
If I didn’t commit myself to the max I could see myself living with the 12p. Feels just the right amount of compact. and In my case no screen protector or case. Still pristine, body and screen

How did you commit to buying the max?
It was the reason I sold my 11 pro max, was to get the 12 max but I was curious about the regular pro so I ordered that first to see if it was something I’d be happy with. Also as a secondary factor I applied for the Apple Card after I got the 12 pro and then decided to put the max on an installment plan(0% interest) to show payment history as I continue to build my credit history. Of course i needed to be approved first and I passed that hurdle. Lastly I didn’t want to go down in battery life, the 11 pro max spoiled me. If it all sounds jumbled and convoluted then you just got a sneak peak into my sometimes chaotic thinking process.

Question for you all. This may seem horrible but if I decide to return my 12 Pro in favor of the Max but get the max before I send the 12 Pro back and realize its too large. Can I cancel the pro return and just return the Max? Im really torn. Appreciate any help.
Even if you initiate the return for the 12 Pro and you decide you want to keep it, just don't send it. Once that 14 day is up after you initiated it will cancel itself. Then simply initiate the new return for the 12 Pro Max

I know I’m gonna miss the telephoto lens, but the uncomfortable size and weight of the 12 pro is more obvious more often then how often I will miss the lens and faster autofocus (lidar) from the 12 Pro. I will initiate a return today to get the mini for me and my wife will return her 12 pro in favor of the lighter 12.

I'm enjoying the 12 Pro but going to initiate a return today in favor of the 12 Pro Max. Coming from the 11 Pro Max, I haven't got used to the smaller size of the 12 Pro. Assuming if I start the return today, Apple will request the return of the 12 Pro by Nov 19th.

Same here. After 13 days of using the 12 Pro, I've decided to keep it. I have the 12 pro max case and to be honest, it's just too big. I compared it with my 11 pro max, it's slightly taller but still and the weight will be a factor.

I agree my return started yesterday and I have until November 18 to send it back so plenty of time. Thank
God.

I've had my 12 for a day and a half now. Coming from an 8 Plus, I feel the screen was better on my 8+.
It's just so yellow/brownish on the 12. I have tweaked the colour settings in Accessibility which does improve it, I wonder if Apple will push out a permanent software update to fix this.

Loving the lighter feel of the 12 though. I will give it a few more days to get used to the new phone especially since I've just had to migrate and re-register about 10 2FA accounts for my authenticator app!
My main concerns with the 12 is the yellow screen and battery longevity.

You will love the battery life - it's not an issue - give it a week or 2 to settle down and optimize.

My 12 Pro is now sipping battery power and I have more charge remaining after a day's use compared to my 11.

As for screen temp / color - does not bother me - the warmer the color, the better on my eyes and sleep.

I returned my blue iPhone 12 yesterday via UPS Mail.
I didn‘t want to pay that amounz of € for a „raised blacks“ and „yellow tint“ panel.

I‘ll try it again in a few weeks or maybe 11 Pro.

My battery got a lot better with the 14.2 beta after a few days. The official 14.2 was just released.

I got the iPhone 12 Blue and now that it arrived today, I got a chance to compare it to my iPhone XR. Unfortunately I didn't see a huge difference in the screen colors going from LED to OLED. I can definitely see a difference in resolution though when comparing phone screens. I tried out the camera and why I can see some upgrades, its just not enough for me to make such a huge payment in upgrading.

I plan to return it and stick with my iPhone XR. Also, I am not as happy with the blue color as much as I thought. The other colors don't look that great to me either on the 12 from what I have seen of unboxing videos.

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade who enjoys the upgrade. Its definitely a nice phone. Anyone else plan to return the iPhone 12 and stick with their old phones?
Well, i got an iphone 12 mini delivered yesterday 13/11/20, i looked at the charging cable (it doesnt come with a USB PLUG & HEADPHONES anymore) which has a usb-c port!!! I called so that they could atleast throw in a free plug or even an old charging cable but all in vain! Its just me who doesnt wana spend more after spending nearly £800 only to find that apple have decided not to enclose a usb plug & headphones anymore!

Everything has to be paid for but hello i paid an arm & a leg for the phone only to be disappointed with their attitude... but hey, i have escalated a return, im gona wait a few months until the price goes down...

So it's a keeper? Saw one in JB yesterday actually got to hold it as someone had cut the holder wire lol. Didn't seem that huge to me.
You return the 12 pro or sell it?
I returned the 12P at the apple store.

Yes it’s a keeper. Who was I kidding? I’ve been using the plus size phone since the 6S+.
The screen of the 12PM is beautiful and the battery suits my heavy use.

Really? The lack of a charger in the box is probably one of the most discussed topics before the new iPhones were released. Seems like a big oversight for a guy who’s on Macrumors!

I mean, it isn‘t like that would be written all over the Internet, on Apple‘s own webpage and even on the packaging itself. Clearly there was no way to know this beforehand... ;)

If you’re not a regular reader of Mac Rumours or someone who doesn’t come here at all, the opening of the box might have been the first they had heard of it. I would imagine Amazon have seen a serge in sales across their wireless range this last few weeks for those not in the know lol.
