Seen, probably Bill Clinton a few times around DC, including at a basketball game. I could have stood on line to shake his hand, but I couldn't think of anything interesting to say other than, "how much for the little girl." Speaking of which, I ran into Chelsea when I worked at a bookstore. I was going up some stairs when she appeared at the top of the stairs. She waited for me to get by and I probably said "thanks" and she smiled and then went down the stairs. She's tiny.

The most famous person I've talked to is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeni_Primakov

And the most famous person who's been in my living room is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mircea_Eliade

John & Joan Cusack and Mr.T all sitting next to each other at a Chicago Black Hawks game. They were sitting right next to the glass and I was two rows behind them. They were very cool and very normal if that makes any sense.

I was also 5 ft from Bono of U2. But it was at a concert and I don't know if that counts. But man he was so close I could tell how short he is. He has these shoes with like a 5inch sole. I am a major U2 fan so that moment will forever be one of the coolest experiences for me. He stood there right in front of me and sang Sometimes You Can't Make it on you own. This song is about his dad who past away a few years ago. He sang it with so much passion it sent chills down my spine. Of course I am a U2 fanatic though! And to top it off he mentioned that this particular day was very special to him. Because it was U2's Birthday and because earlier that day he had met with some politicians and government officials and mentioned that they had agreed to drop some additional debt of 3rd world nations and it was a huge number. He was very happy that day and so was I.

Met some Atlanta Braves guys when I worked at the stadium, Met some directors at film school, seen kevin bacon and his wife twice....sit like one seat in the movies from OJ simpson....shaked his hand in all that...

Bless

Michael Dell lives down the street from my dad (well, he actually bought the entire hill next to us so he has no neighbors for like 400 yards in every direction, but still). I would see them out to eat around there pretty often, just taking the family out in the Suburban for a trip to Macaroni Grill or something. It wasn't that unusual in Austin, I guess.

For the golfers out there, Ben Crenshaw had the locker next to my dad's at the golf course, and Tom Kite's son was in the same acting class as my sister. They're both nice people.

I walked past Scottie Pippen on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. It was probably 1997, so he was still playing for the Bulls.

I saw Fred Ward, star of Remo Williams the Adventure Begins at a graduate student art show at Cal State Long Beach. I wanted to say hello, but realized that would be lame so I left him alone.

Pro wrestler Greg "The Hammer" Valentine was on my flight out of San Jose, CA as I flew home from Macworld two years ago. I was also about ten feet away from Steve Jobs a day before Macworld opened at Moscone that year.

Saw a Penn and Teller show in college, during the intermission Penn was walking around the hallways of the arena. I shook his hand.

Got the original three "Blue Man Group" members to kiss a painting I bought at one of their shows with their blue lips. Unfortunately the blue lip prints are still wet seven years later.

I have also met, and spoke with or helped pretty much every chef on the food network - emeril, alton brown, Bobby Flay, Paula Deen etc.

Also, I have seen/been close to but never actually spoke with or shook hands with: Michael Jordan, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, Matt Lauer, Aretha Franklin.

I must say, most of the people you Americans are coming up with I've never heard of!

Buckminister Fuller signed a model I made when I was 6 years old. Pretty funny that he is best known for "buckyballs" - insert inappropriate joke here -

Played pool with Derrick Alexander and Steve Everitt (NFL players). Derrick was pretty bad - and a putz. Steve was good and actually a nice guy.

I love how the level abruptly changes.... Lady Di, Tony Blair, Ricky Gervais. Classic. Although to be honest, I might prefer watching the Office over listening to too many more of Blair's speeches.

Ricky Gervais a random podcaster? obviously you have never heard of The Office (probably his most famous show).. the US have their own actors in that show, but Gervais was the brains.. very talented bloke.. funny too :p

I spoke with Natalie Portman for a while at a political rally, gave her a hug and got a picture with her and an autographed iPod out of it as well. :D Other than that, I've met Drew Barrymore at the North Michigan Avenue Store, a number of NBA players, Arnold Schwarzenegger, worked on a film with Bernie Mac and Angela Bassett, the list goes on. I played basketball with Penny Hardaway and Shaq when I was a kid in Orlando. Penny's agent lived down the street.

EDIT: I noticed the title says "SEEN" not met. I've seen tons, Howard Dean, John Kerry, W, The Clintons, Al Gore, Michael J. Fox, Michael Jordan, etc.
